Being stared at by the three of them, Rorschach felt completely uncomfortable.
The blueprint for the Ark Maxim is connected to the blueprint for Pluton the Ancient Weapon?
To be honest, Rorschach found it hard to believe.
But the person who said this was Vegapunk, the world's greatest scientist, with technology that was 500 years ahead of the rest of the world.
As far as Rorschach knew, Vegapunk's so-called "technology 500 years ahead of its time" was actually the ancient technological knowledge stored in Ohara.
In other words, the things Vegapunk had learned were probably technologies from the Void Century.
And the Ancient Weapons were likely also from that void period.
A biological weapon, Poseidon the Sea King; a technological weapon, Pluton the Ancient Weapon; and a weather weapon, Uranus the Sky King...
"What are you thinking about? You haven't answered my question yet." Lilith's sweet voice pulled Rorschach out of his fantasy.
Facing Kizaru's frowning, scrutinizing gaze, Rorschach quickly explained, "Don't get me wrong, this really isn't the blueprint for Pluton. I brought this thing down from Skypiea. If you don't believe me, you can ask Enel. As for where it was originally found on Skypiea, I actually never asked Enel. By the way, can you read ancient letters? I have the translated text here..."
Rorschach had just pulled out the paper that Robin had translated from his pocket when he regretted it.
Kizaru was still here.
Although their relationship seemed quite close and they got along well, Kizaru's true intentions were still a mystery.
Just like Akainu, no one knew what kind of thoughts were hidden behind his lazy facade.
What if he was a loyal supporter of the Celestial Dragons, just like Aramaki in the future?
Compared to Kizaru, Aokiji seemed much more straightforward.
However, since he had already taken the paper out, there was no way he could put it back. Rorschach could only grit his teeth and hand the paper to Lilith.
Lilith took the translated text from Rorschach as if it were a priceless treasure, reading it eagerly.
Kizaru, on the other hand, gave Rorschach a meaningful look and pouted. "It seems you got a lot of good things in Alabasta, Rorschach."
Rorschach's heart sank. He immediately put on a pitiful smile. "Uncle Borsalino, you're not going to report me to the Five Elders, are you? I swear on my honor, I really have no other intentions. This blueprint has nothing to do with Pluton. It really is something I brought down from Skypiea. If you don't believe me, ask Enel. It's his family's."
Kizaru's smile was ambiguous, and Rorschach didn't know if he believed him. "Then who translated the ancient text for you?"
Sweat broke out on Rorschach's forehead. "If I told you I picked this paper up from a ruin in Alabasta, would you believe me?"
"What do you think?" Kizaru's aunt-like smile made Rorschach's scalp tingle.
Dodging Kizaru's ambiguous smile, Rorschach went up to Lilith and asked in a low voice, "So? Dr. Lilith, can you build the propulsion system for this ship?"
Lilith nodded without hesitation. "Yes, I can."
"Really?" Rorschach was both surprised and delighted.
He didn't expect happiness to come so suddenly.
He had originally planned to take some time to go to Water 7.
"It's very simple. It won't take long to build. The technical difficulty of this thing is not even as great as the Pacifista's laser device," Lilith said, lifting her pale chin. She then shook her head with a hint of regret. "However, even if we build the most basic propulsion system, it's probably a fool's errand to try and propel a ship the size of a large warship. There's an ancient robot on Egghead Island, ahem, anyway, it needs a very powerful power source to be charged. Do you understand?"
"I understand! I understand perfectly!" Rorschach's smile was brilliant.
A power source?
The Kirin had plenty of those.
Several people on board could generate electricity.
Enel, with his Rumble-Rumble Fruit, was his personal warship charger.
"Why are you smiling so happily? Can you solve the power source problem?" Lilith asked, looking at the beaming Rorschach in surprise.
"Hehe, Dr. Lilith, didn't you know I can generate electricity?"
Rorschach spread his right hand, and a large ball of crackling, restless electricity quickly appeared in his palm, emitting a powerful aura.
Ignoring Lilith's surprise, Rorschach continued, "Also, do you know about the Rumble-Rumble Fruit? The Enel I just mentioned is a Logia user of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. In fact, he's almost finished building this Ark Maxim on Skypiea. As soon as you help me build this electrical propulsion engine, my Kirin can fulfill its dream of flying through the sky and diving into the sea. Although, it has already done so..."
"The Rumble-Rumble Fruit? Are you serious?"
Lilith's mouth was practically watering.
Then, she pressed herself against Rorschach, her soft and voluptuous body leaning on him. She looked at Rorschach pitifully. "Rear Admiral Rorschach, can you call that Enel over? I want to dissect... I mean, I want to study his Rumble-Rumble Fruit ability. You know, the Pacifista's laser weapon, although it's an ancient technology, also borrows from the properties of Kizaru's Glint-Glint Fruit. If I can properly study the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, maybe I can create a lightning weapon."
"No way! Enel is my subordinate. I absolutely cannot let you study him. If something goes wrong, it would be a huge loss for me," Rorschach said, shaking his head like a rattle.
"I can help you build this electrical propulsion engine," Lilith said coaxingly.
"No, I won't betray my subordinates," Rorschach refused decisively.
"Plus three sets of Germa scientific raid suits," Lilith said, pointing at the three different colored suits hanging on the wall. "The result of research from Judge's sons. It's a strengthened version of his shoddy technology."
"Deal. I'll have Enel come over tomorrow."
Rorschach smiled and extended his hand.
In the New World, on the sea outside Sphinx Island, the Moby Dick, which resembled a giant white whale, was quietly anchored.
On the deck, the main officers of the Whitebeard Pirates were all leaning against the railing with joyful expressions, as if waiting for something, and looking in the direction of the captain's quarters.
"What time is it now?" Marco, the commander of the 1st division, asked with a grin.
"I think it's the 77th time," Thatch said with a chicken leg in his mouth.
"No, it's the 78th, right? Did you forget this morning?" Vista, the commander of the 5th division, asked without looking up from polishing his beloved swords.
"Anyway, there's about to be another one."
Marco, with his pineapple-shaped hair, was squatting at the railing. Before the words left his mouth, they all heard a muffled groan from the captain's quarters.
Then, a dull explosion followed, and a broken axe head came whistling out of the captain's quarters, flying past everyone.
The next moment, a figure with blood spewing from his mouth flew out, his back hitting the thick railing of the ship.
With a series of cracking sounds, the railing of the Moby Dick directly in front of the captain's quarters shattered, and a large amount of wood splinters flew everywhere. The figure that flew out was thrown sideways and fell into the sea with a loud splash.
"Oh no, we have to repair the ship again, zehahaha," Teach laughed.
"Stop laughing! Someone go get him! That kid is a Devil Fruit user. He'll drown if we're late," Marco shouted.
"I'll go. I like this persistent young man," Thatch said, handing his chef's knife to the pirate next to him. He smiled and jumped into the sea from the railing.
Just then, Marco, who was still squatting at the railing, narrowed his eyes and suddenly looked up.
"What's that? It feels like a ferocious beast."
High in the sky, a tiny black dot, almost imperceptible, appeared and was getting bigger.
A dozen seconds later, the other division commanders on the Moby Dick also frowned and looked up at the sky.
Vista's eyes flashed, and he licked his lips. He could feel the two swords in his hands vibrating with excitement.
"It's not a beast; it's the aura of a master swordsman. Could it be Mihawk?"
"No!"
Marco's pupils contracted. Blue flames rapidly appeared on his body, and with a whoosh, he shot out of his squatting position. His arms spread out and turned into wings of blue flame, taking him flying up to meet the growing black dot.
Gradually, everyone saw that it was a man with a head of golden hair, a broken ship's rudder stuck in his head, a lit cigar in his mouth, and two broad swords as his legs.
"It's... it's Golden Lion!"
Rakuyo exclaimed.
"Golden Lion! What are you doing here? Stop! The Moby Dick is not a place for you to cause trouble!" Feeling the fighting intent from Golden Lion, Marco's face turned grim.
"Zehahahaha, of course, I'm here to visit an old friend. Pineapple-head brat, it's been over a decade, and your strength has grown a little slowly."
Golden Lion grinned. The two swords on his legs, Otohime and Takemikazuchi, slashed through the air in quick succession, sending dozens of giant slashes, each tens of meters long, toward Marco.
"Let me see what kind of brats Newgate has taken in as sons over the years."
"Damn it! You can't insult our pops!"
Marco's face was filled with anger. He kicked his right leg up at the giant slashes, and blue flames spread over his leg. Soon, his entire right leg turned into a bird's claw, wrapped in a flowing Haki, and he kicked the slashes to pieces in the air.
"Undying Bird! Phoenix Seal!"
But Golden Lion's slashes were too numerous, and each one carried a terrifying power that could tear through the sky, coming down from every direction. Even with Marco's best efforts, he only managed to block a dozen of the giant slashes.
"Get ready for battle!"
Vista stomped his foot, leaving a dent in the deck. His eyes were filled with excitement as he swung his two swords.
"I've always wanted to fight you, Golden Lion, the greatest swordsman of the old era! Rose Waltz!"
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Thick sword slashes shot up, turning into beautiful rose petals that were filled with endless killing intent. They collided with Golden Lion's slashes in mid-air, creating a deafening explosion.
The other division commanders also took action, blocking and detonating the incoming slashes in the sky before they could reach the ship.
"Zehahahahaha, you're quite capable. Then try this one." Golden Lion raised his right leg high, and as Marco's expression changed, a powerful, advanced Haki flowed over the blade of his sword, Otohime, and he slashed downward.
"Wave Slicer!"
Swoosh!
A thousand-meter-long sword slash, like a dazzling aurora that suddenly bloomed in the sky, sliced through the air with an unstoppable force, tearing through Vista's sword techniques and heading toward the Moby Dick as if to split it in two.
The terrifyingly sharp aura made the faces of all the pirates on the deck turn pale.
In the midst of the chaos, the tall Jozu suddenly stepped out. A large area of his massive body rapidly glowed, and in an instant, he turned into a brilliant diamond!
"Sparkling Crash!"
The huge pirate ship suddenly sank lower in the water. The roaring Jozu shot up, his body like a cannonball, heading straight for the thousand-meter slash, like a moth to a flame.
Boom!
The terrifying sword slash landed on Jozu's head, like a heavy mountain, slamming into him and causing his body to sink dozens of meters.
"Grrrrrr! Get out of here!"
Jozu roared. He reached out with his thick arm, which was covered in flowing Haki, and actually grabbed the physical form of Golden Lion's slash. He grabbed the thousand-meter slash that was coming down on his head and threw it away from the Moby Dick.
The giant arc of light sliced through the air, and the insane gust of wind it created just by passing by was enough to make many of the pirates on the deck turn pale.
Swoosh!
The sea to the side of the ship split open, and a deep chasm, dozens of kilometers long, appeared.
"Damn Golden Lion! Does this bastard really want to destroy the Moby Dick? Commanders, hurry up and take him down! He's just a has-been pirate, and he dares to come here and cause trouble."
From the crowd, a pirate said something that made Golden Lion's face turn cold. The sword slash from his right leg, which he used to kick away the charging Vista, sent a long plume of smoke from his mouth.
"Newgate's sons really dare to say anything, zehahahaha, zehahahahaha!"
"Newgate!"
"How much longer are you going to keep playing this pirate house game?"
He grinned, raised his right hand over his head, and suddenly clenched his spread fingers as if he were pulling on something, yanking it down hard!
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
The entire world shook violently with his pull, and the air moved away in all directions like boiling water.
High above the sea, a thick black shadow that was almost ten thousand meters in the sky grew larger and larger in the eyes of Marco and the others!
A cold bead of sweat dripped from Marco's forehead.
Suddenly, a majestic figure stepped out of the captain's quarters and looked up at the sky.
"Gurara-ra-ra, Shiki, are you tired of living?"
Admiral Kizaru's warm reminder: Remember to wear long johns when it gets cold~
