Third-person POV
Penelope mentally weighed her options, trying to decide if she should just stand still and wait for Electra to show up or do something about Jella herself. At first, remaining still had seemed like the smarter option. Jella was desperate, unstable, and clearly terrified for her life, which made her dangerous in a very unpredictable way.
Penelope could feel the rusty nail pressed tightly against her neck, and even though the pressure was not enough to kill her immediately, she knew it could still do serious damage if Jella panicked and shoved it deeper. The smell of dirt and rust from the nail alone disgusted her badly enough to make her stomach turn.
