The phrase "destined to suffer misfortunes" is most apt to describe Qin Muge.
Her mother passed away early, Qin Fangbin raised her, taught her music, chess, calligraphy, painting, knowledge, etiquette, poetry, and painting, tea and wine; she understands music, literature, and art. What high-born women from prestigious families know, she understands all, even more than them!
But Qin Fangbin taught Qin Muge these things, let her learn these things, merely treating her as a tool for his interests.
First, he married Qin Muge to Ji Yunlin, who was played half-dead by Ye Xunhuan. Then he attempted to marry Qin Muge to others, but was miserably rejected by her.
Now, she is further reduced to a pawn, a piece on the chessboard, which causes Qin Muge's heart to ache immensely, hurting so much she can hardly breathe.
She hates, hates why heaven is so unfair, hates why heaven has landed her with such a father, hates why Heaven did not let her be born into an ordinary family.
