"Mom, I toast to you. Thank you for raising me and helping me find my real mother," Qin Yurong spoke emotionally, raising her glass to Chen Guixiu.
Chen Guixiu merely smiled, "It's only right. Seeing you doing well puts my heart at ease."
Both of them emptied their glasses, and Qin Yurong refilled hers, "Mom, have some food."
Chen Guixiu didn't hold back, and started eating.
They ate and drank together in high spirits.
Not sure how many glasses later, Chen Guixiu felt her head spinning, her vision starting to blur. Her eyelids felt heavy, wanting to shut.
"Mom, let's have another drink," Qin Yurong poured more wine.
Chen Guixiu gestured a refusal, rubbing her temples, "Rongrong, I think I've got drunk, I can't drink any more."
"Mom, I know you can handle your liquor. It's only been two glasses, how could you be drunk? Come on, have a little more," Qin Yurong didn't believe her.
