Huo Jingtang heard her say she was cold, so he reached out and encircled her in his embrace, using the warmth of his body to warm her. His straight nose brushed against the outline of her ear.

Huo Jingtang lifted her from the recliner and strode toward the soft, big bed, placed her on it, and pulled the quilt over her, "Since you're afraid of the cold, why are you still sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window? Aren't you afraid of catching a cold? It's not good for you or the baby."
Qin Yucen looked at Huo Jingtang's furrowed brow, reached out her pale fingers to smooth out the wrinkles bit by bit, "It's not my body that's cold; it's my heart. This heart is too cold, as if it's frozen over with frost."
