Qin Yucen went to a location as instructed, then picked up the cell phone they had placed for contact. Following their arrangements, she headed into a dense forest, crossing a flat shallow stream into a deserted area overgrown with lush grass and reeds. No longer able to drive through, she had to get out of the car. Without bringing any money and walking alone, after covering five hundred meters, two men stepped forward to meet her. Both wore masks, and coupled with the darkness, she couldn't make out any of their features.
Seeing her alone and without anything on her, one of them sneered, "You expect to walk off with your people empty-handed? You playing games with us, huh?"
"I couldn't drive up here. The one billion in cash is divided into two bags; I simply couldn't carry them," Yucen said, her voice gentle and polite. "Once you let me see the person, I'll give you the car key to retrieve the money."
