Huo Jingfeng had just finished speaking and turned to leave. There seemed to be a flash of coldness in his eyes, which Qin Yucen could clearly see.
Huo Jingtang naturally saw the coldness in his eyes too, but it didn't mean much to him. He didn't care. He was hooking the corner of his lips, preparing to stand and follow when Qin Yucen placed her hand on his knee, tilting her head to meet his eyes.
He gently patted the hand she placed on his knee and smiled, "I'll be right back."
"Jingtang, it seems like he's in a bad mood," Qin Yucen said tactfully.
"So much has happened recently, and his wedding got pushed aside by ours. He lost face; it would be odd if he were in a good mood," Huo Jingtang spoke harshly and damagingly. If Huo Jingfeng were here to hear this, he would probably be spitting blood.
Yet, his words carried a hint of pride and arrogance, as if he had won over Huo Jingfeng, his tone tinged with a childish petulance.
