Zhang Ziyan, after hearing Lai Yang's words, turned to look at Ning Guiwan and met her slightly indifferent gaze. She seemed stunned for a moment, then forced a pale smile. "There's nothing worth looking at. Don't waste your energy. You both should go."
She had an expression of someone who had lost all will to live. Lai Yang shot Ning Guiwan a meaningful glance, signaling for her to say something.
Ning Guiwan, seeing Lai Yang blinking so hard it looked painful, finally spoke. "Why don't you go buy her something to eat?"
Lai Yang paused for a moment, then, understanding the implication, joyfully took her purse and left.
The hospital room was now quiet with only Ning Guiwan and Zhang Ziyan. Zhang Ziyan forced a weak smile at Ning Guiwan, seemingly moved by her considerate words. "Thank you."
"But I'm not hungry at all. Eating or not makes no difference."
