Ning Guiwan reached into her coat pocket for her phone, her eyes locked on Quan Yu. "Goodbye," she said, and only after closing the car door did she answer the call.
The night wind stirred Ning Guiwan's long hair. Quan Yu didn't leave immediately. He watched her intently, as if intending to wait for her to enter the gate before driving back, but she didn't disappear from his sight.
Not knowing who was on the call, Ning Guiwan's expression altered slightly after she answered it, and she returned to get into the car again.
Quan Yu watched her, his expression remaining calm. "What is it?"
"I need to go back," Ning Guiwan said, urgency tinting her words as she watched Quan Yu start the car again. It slowly drove away from the Tianchi Group's gate. After a moment of thought, she added, "I have to fly to Britain tomorrow."
Quan Yu didn't say much. "Have you booked your ticket?"
Ning Guiwan replied, "Not yet."
