Sun Wukong's words left the Prefectural Governor and his wife speechless.
Upon careful reflection, they found Sun Wukong's words quite reasonable. They had been praying for several days, yet their son's soul had not returned. It seemed quite possible that the Jade Emperor had indeed not granted their request.
"Monk, didn't you say that with your help, the Jade Emperor would agree?" the County Magistrate's Wife turned her gaze onto Jiang Liu and asked.
"Madam, the Holy Monk and others have already done their best!" the Prefectural Governor said, tugging at his wife.
"I don't want them to do their best; I want them to succeed. They promised they would succeed. Our son died because of them. Are they now unable to fulfill their promise?" The County Magistrate's Wife glared at Jiang Liu and others, speaking rudely.
"It's not that we're not helping, but this time, the Jade Emperor is acting strangely!" Sun Wukong explained, seeing the County Magistrate's Wife's furious demeanor.
