The old tree monster frantically swung its vines, launching an attack on the charging clones of Sun Wukong.
Each clone hit by the vines reverted to its original form, becoming strands of monkey hair.
Yet, many clones managed to leap onto the old tree monster, where the Heavenly Saint Fire on the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod erupted violently.
Flames soared into the sky.

Cries of agony echoed as the old tree monster attempted to extinguish the flames, but they instead grew fiercer.
Helpless, the old tree monster began to peel off the burning bark from its body.
"Eh?"
Sun Wukong's face revealed a look of surprise. The old tree monster peeled off its outer bark like a snake shedding its skin, revealing a slightly smaller body.
Though its aura was still strong, Sun Wukong clearly sensed that the creature seemed to have weakened.
"Could peeling off the bark cause it to weaken?"
A thought flashed in Sun Wukong's mind, his eyes lighting up instantly.
