Having spent some time with Gudong, Grandpa Jiu, Perona, and Ning Zhu, Bu Si learned about the notion of gods and began to speculate on the identity of the person before him who claimed to be his father.
"What is the definition of a god?"
The Creator God mused and answered himself, "When humans first moved away from eating raw flesh and blood and learned to use fire, they greatly revered fire as a thing or phenomenon and took it as a god at the onset."
"Because they did not understand fire."
"And now, people can use fire, so they don't view it as a god but instead imagine a figure who controls the fire, taking them as a god, offering up a groundless yet tangibly existent faith..."
When mentioning faith, the Creator God's tone shifted, "But I am merely a wisp of a wandering soul, don't need the faith of mortals, since this world was not created by me, nor have I contributed to it. There's no need for people to believe in me."
