"Darling, I'm back!"
Li Chen shouted loudly as soon as he opened the villa's door.
However, what responded was silence.
After the last incident, the villa had been renovated and restored to its former appearance. But Li Chen hadn't been living there for a while, so he wasn't aware of the renovation.
Still, seeing the house restored made him happy.
Li Chen suspiciously glanced around the living room. If they were back, there should be some noise, right?
He cautiously wandered in.
At a glance, Li Chen saw the two women sitting on the sofa, leisurely watching TV as if they hadn't heard his shout at all.
He carefully moved his head closer to them and softly said, "Um, darling, I'm back?"
At this point, the two women seemed to come to their senses, turning their heads to look at him.
Their gazes were piercing, making Li Chen feel a bit uncomfortable.
Yet, they still didn't speak.
Being stared at like that, Li Chen didn't know what was going on and felt awkward saying anything.
