Anko's POV
Traversing through the cool volcano island in a lake, we were vigilant of our surroundings. According to my new ghostly data, this island had the following mobs:
Knolls – Levels 10-35
Blue and Red Dire Wolves – Levels 25-50
Aswangs – Levels 20-39
Seeing these mobs, we were stunned and scared at these.
"Aswangs?!" RM=oxas said this in shock.
Oh…these Filipino versions of the western vampires, but with a body that splits in half…scary as hell…
Elisa was intrigued while Kaota-san was in full alert.
Roxas' parents, uncle, and aunt remained in the community area for their protection. So, as we went along, we fought the monsters for the Batchoy Chef. I boosted Roxas-kapatid's power twofold so he would finish these scary and unique monsters off. The same goes for Elisa to Kaota. Cristina, Ayala, Venancio, and Darna gave their all for the NPC-style chef of a Filipino dish that is basically a cousin to ramen.
And then, by 10:30 a.m., we found the location of the Batchoy Chef, who was held hostage by a bunch of Knolls. That man was somewhere in his 40s to 50s, had a blue shirt and grey shorts, and he sported an apron as a cook in the community.
"Tulungan mo ako…" he called to us.
The Knolls are hostile and ready to attack us.
"You better get your hands off that man, mga putang-ina!" Darna shouted before lunging at the Knolls.
Using her weapon of choice, she slashed some of them.
Kaota and Roxas synchronized with Elisa and me to attack and finish the rest of the monsters that held the man hostage, while Cristina and Venancio helped out in the man's escape. And so, by just 53 minutes, we finished our quest, and we got our reward. Plus, all this clearing was worth it because Roxas-kapatid, Kaota-san, Venancio-kun, and Cristina-san levelled up once.
We split the reward money between Roxas, Cristina, Kaota, Venancio, and Darna equally, having an equal 3,000 Gold Yen per person.
Elisa and I did a fist bump with our ghostly fists.
"Good job, oni-san," I said.
"You two as well, Anko," Elisa replied with a smile.
Then, the Batchoy Chef said to us, "Salamat sa pagliligtas mo sa akin. Balik tayo saw barangay para makaluto ako ng Batchoy para sa inyo at sa lahat."
The SAO system had provided translation for those who don't speak in Tagalog, one of the native languages of Roxas-kapatid.
"Yes, let's go back, sir," Kaota said to him.
But before we get the heck out of here, a loot drop appeared to where the chef had sat down as a hostage. When the light cleared out, it was a sword that is very unique and even I couldn't know what it was…
The description of it was provided by the system:
Name: the Taal Sword
Class: Special Legendary-Exclusive
Stats: 120 hit points and 100 in accuracy
Abilities:
Slash of Lava – producing a hot effect on the foes when being slashed
Summoning Lahar – allows the wielder to summon lava geysers under the foes with great damage by shoving the tip of the blade into the ground.
Description: A regular sword with obsidian decorations and an icon of the Taal Island.
We were in awe and shock. Roxas first grabbed it and wielded it high, seeing how cool and radical it was. "Astig!" he yelled in excitement and enthusiasm. Kaota rubbed his eyes a bit. "Wow, it is a unique sword, man. Awesome…"
"Wow, galing yan, Kuya Roxas!" Darna shouted.
Cristina then nodded in approval and support for her younger brother.
And so, all of us and the chef walked back to the island community on foot, all excited and exhausted.
