"Caterpie I don't know how but your oddly reliable."
Currently: Misdreavus, the blue crested Caterpie and I are sitting at the southern entrance to Ecruteak city, after escaping the hospital and finding the bug in a nearby tree with a tangled up sleeping Larvitar.
Misdreavus floats off to the side and next to my ear. "So what do we do now? Are we just waiting for your trainer to get back?"
Throwing a sharp look at Misdreavus I brush her off slightly and leave her floating in front of my face. "Yea? It's not like i have anything else to do, I'm missing my other 2 kids because someone wanted to throw me into the next town over her own excitement at my best impression of a horror monster."
"I said I'm sorry!"
"If you did then i don't remember it!"
"How is that my fault!?"
"Because if i don't remember it then it must've been a bad apology!"
"Quiet."
Both Misdreavus and I basically snap our necks to look at Caterpie and near simultaneously we say, "You can speak!?"
"...."
"..You know what? I'm over it. I went on a side quest that netted me nothing but future issues, I didn't even get stronger or learn anything new, and worst of all my new youngest child is bonded to a Caterpie that i just met from the middle of the woods!"
Moving my shadows I start weaving a tiny blanket and sweater, ignored the still bug eyed Misdreavus. And very surprisingly it doesn't take long for a certain someone to come roaring up the route all while screaming my name.
"Kage! Oh my mew i found you!" Amelia just barrels into the ground attempting a dive hug only to really eat dirt.
'On one hand I'm glad that she's here because waiting here would've been extremely boring but on the other hand it was supposed to take days for her to reach this town..'
"Wait...That Misdreavus! What did you throw him for you crazy ghost!? And why do you seem oddly attached?" At her mention, Misdreavus presses into me before sticking a tongue out at Amelia and going back to giving me the baby doll eyes.
"Get off."
"No."
"Get off."
"No."
Sighing i put take out a prewritten maybe stolen and very solid notebook and plop it down infront of me. which reads, "Team Rocket, They helped. Larvitar used to be egg."
Upon reading Amelia actually appears consciously worried and concerned for the first time since, well since 5 minutes ago.. "Team rocket was here? That's not good.. Why is the story moving on so quickly? And where the hell are the protags!? "
Amelia quickly goes from her over the top volume to a whisper quickly as she paces around before she trips over a sleeping web covered Larvitar.
"A Larvitar!?"
'...I'm going to sleep or some shit i can't handle this anymore.'
After "only" 24 and a half minutes of Amelia asking questions and getting answers she can't fully understand we're finally able to move on and get to a Pokemon Center. Only to register Larvitar under Amelia's name, alongside Misdreavus.
"Tell me one more time why your staying?" Looking at the Misdreavus whose currently puffing out her chest in satisfaction apon being registered as a traveling companion under Amelia's name.
"Welllllll i'm curious of how its like to have a trainer! Plus you haven't told me how to scare people yet!"
"Having a trainer sucks 50% of the time because of the annoyance they bring, and is good 30% of the time because free food. The other 20% is meh. And watch one scary movie by phasing into a movie theater, I'm sure you can figure out how to do it from there."
"I didn't ask for your opinion! I wanna figure it out on my own!"
"But you just asked how to scare people! Let alone the trainer part which I'm 99% sure you just made up 5 minutes ago! And how are you gonna ask for my opinion just to say you don't want it anymore!? Make up your mind you-
"Quiet"
Looking to my left is Caterpie carrying a somehow still asleep Larvitar on their back.
"...Arceus please strike me down now."
