Yan racked his brain to try and figure something out, but at the mutant Boneclaw's height, there was nothing that could reach it and do harm. Maybe Lahso could throw a stone at it, but even if he hit, it wouldn't leave so much as a scratch.
As long as the mutant Boneclaw had ammo, they could only sit like ducks and wait for it to throw.
'Stupid fucking Boneclaws!'
Yan cursed the armored monsters who were too afraid to flee in case they became the mutant's next target. They simply hovered in the sky, doing nothing but flapping their wings. It was like they were under the mutant's control.
Yan considered dashing over to Lahso and Taub to ask if they had any special moves to use when someone beat him to it. It wasn't someone running toward Lahso and Taub, though. It was someone trying to flee the clearing outside the mine and run far away.
They made it six steps before the head of a Boneclaw tore a melon-sized hole through their chest.
