Title: The First Day Curse
Monday, August 12, 2019, 5:00 AM.
The alarm rang, signaling the start of a new school year. Sander groaned, reluctant to leave the warmth of her bed. Her sister was already up, excited for the day ahead, but Sander felt the exact opposite.
"I hate school," she muttered under her breath.
"School is a place where we learn new things, meet new people, and experience adventures," her sister countered, her voice filled with enthusiasm.
"More like a place where I get into trouble," Sander replied bitterly.
Sam, his best friend, chuckled. "Come on, Sander, you're just exaggerating. Not every first day has to be a disaster."
Sander sighed. "No, Sam, it's a pattern. Every first day of school, something bad happens to me. It's like a curse."
Sam rolled his eyes. "You're just being dramatic."
But Sander wasn't convinced. Her mind flashed back to all her past first days—getting detention in middle school, tripping over his own feet in front of the whole class, spilling juice on a teacher's desk. The memories were endless, and none of them were good.
As they walked towards the school gate, Sander braced himself for whatever misfortune awaited him. This was his first day in a new high school, a fresh start—or so he hoped.
Sam patted him on the back. "You'll be fine, Sander. Who knows? Maybe this time, something good will happen instead."
Sander wasn't sure. He had learned not to get his hopes up.
Little did he know, this first day would be the most eventful one yet.It was early in the morning, around 7:30 AM. Sander rushed into her room, thanking her aunt, Miss Bani, as she hurried to get ready for school.
"Are all of you ready to go to school today?" Miss Bani asked.
"Yes!" they chorused excitedly.
She made sure they had everything—school bags, books, and lunch bags. Then she asked, "Do you have your keys?"
"Yes, yes, yes!" they all replied, but Sandra hesitated.
"The key for what?" she asked.
"For your locker," her sister reminded her.
Sandra sighed. "It's a new school. I don't have a key yet."
"You're so forgetful," her sister teased.
Miss Bani smiled. "Alright, let's go to school then."
As they made their way, Miss Bani noticed that Sam looked worried. She had been searching her phone with a concerned expression.
"What's wrong, Sam? Why do you look so worried?"
Sam hesitated before replying. "You know what happened to me on my first day of school before... I don't want to remind everyone of it again."
Her sister, Sarah, tried to cheer her up. "Don't worry, Sam. You don't need to be afraid. Nothing bad will happen today."
Miss Bani nodded in agreement. "You'll be fine. But let's hurry, or we'll be late for school."
They finally arrived at the school gate. "We're here," Miss Bani announced.
Sam took a deep breath, still nervous. "I feel worried," she admitted.
Miss Bani put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I've been observing you, Sam. You look tense."
Sam nodded. "Yes, Aunt Bani. I am worried because of what usually happens to me on my first day of school. Also, I feel overwhelmed."
Miss Bani smiled warmly. "Try to avoid stress, and if anything worries you, just call me. I'm here to help."
As they entered the school, they recognized some students who had also attended Spies School, including Gabriel, Amanda, Tania, May, and others. Seeing familiar faces made Sam feel a little better, but she still couldn't shake off the nervousness of the first day.
Then the principal began to address them on the school rules and regulations and punishment to not for not complying with it.
When Sam saw Jace, she instantly had a feeling she had seen him before, but she couldn't recall where. Meanwhile, Jace stared stylishly at Sam as he took his seat. The other sisters noticed Jace's lingering gaze on Sam and had a strange feeling—almost as if Jace was spying on them.
They all sat together on the same bench, with Sam in the middle. Shortly after, the teacher entered and began the lecture.
At noon, it was lunchtime. The sisters sat together at the same table after collecting their lunch. As they chatted, Jace approached them.
Jace tried to greet Sam but she ignores him so he takes her phone.
"I have been trying to catch your attention so I took your phone so please forgive me,"Jace said.
"It's okay, I forgive you," Sam said. "By the way, have I met you before? You seem familiar."
Jace hesitated before replying, "No way. I'm new to this place and this city. I came from Paris." It was a lie.
"Wow, that's far," Sam said, intrigued. "So why are you here?"
"It was my parents who brought me here," Jace responded with another lie.
"Oh, I see," Sam said. "It was nice meeting you, but I need to get to class now."
"Sure," Jace replied. "Got class?"
Sam left, and Jace felt a surge of happiness. He blushed slightly, but then realized that Sam had accidentally left her phone with him. He tried to open it, but it was locked. Deciding to return it, he hurried after her.
Meanwhile, Sam realized her phone was missing and went back to retrieve it. As she rushed, she accidentally bumped into Jace. Just as she was about to fall, Jace caught her by the waist. Their eyes locked in an intense gaze.
Amanda, watching from afar, was furious at the sight and stormed away.
"Here is your phone," Jace said, handing it over.
"Thank you so much," Sam replied gratefully.
They exchanged phone numbers before parting ways.
"Talk later?" Jace asked.
"Sure, whatever," Sam said nonchalantly.
"Okay, take care," Jace responded.
"Same to you," Sam said before leaving.
Later, Amanda confronted Sam with an icy glare. "You think you're something special?" she spat. "I've seen better girls than you."
Sam was taken aback. "What are you talking about?"
"You and Jace," Amanda hissed. "Trying to get me back?"
Sam was confused. "Jace and I—what?"
"Listen," Amanda sneered. "I will soon be his girlfriend and there's nothing you can do about it."
Sam stood there, bewildered, as Amanda walked away, leaving behind an air of unresolved tension. As Sam left for class, Amanda ran into Jace, who was walking with someone. She grabbed his arm and pulled him aside. "Why did you ignore me, Amanda?" Jace asked.
Amanda's expression turned cold. "What were you doing with her? I saw you. You were flirting!"
Jace laughed. "I just realized how ugly you are—the first person to ruin a relationship. Now, I've found a better girl, and you're just jealous and trying to get me back. But let me tell you something: you can't do anything about it. Sam will soon be my girlfriend, and there's nothing you can do to stop it."
Nothing could be done about it; no one could change anything. It was just a matter of time before Sam and I would be together. Amanda couldn't help but laugh. "Wow, Jace, you're really forgetting who you are."
Amanda chuckled bitterly. "And you're forgetting that you're just working with some company. Think about that before lecturing me about your fake dreams—dreams that will never come true." She laughed as she walked away, leaving Jace with his thoughts.
"And He left totally," Amanda whispered to herself.
As they left for class, the 10 a.m. lecture had just ended, and another lecture scheduled until 2:00 p.m. was closing. The sisters couldn't find a means of transportation, so they called Sam on the phone and arranged to meet at the school field. While Jace and Sam chatted, Sam eventually left , unaware that the other sisters was watching from a distance, observing their interaction and beginning to gossip about it.
As they continued, Sarah gave a signal that something was going on. "Will you stop making that strange noise?" Sam asked.
Sarah smirked. "No, I won't—unless you tell me what is going on between the two of you."
Sam sighed. "Nothing is going on between us. We were just talking as friends."
Sarah remained skeptical. "Will it stay that way?"
Sam sighed "Yes."
Sarah smirked, "Or is that you have a crush".
Sam surprised at the thought, "At most we are just friends just stop about illusion that can never happen ".
Sarah said" Well as they always says friends today, lovers tomorrow we can never tell".
Sam sighed.
Sarah said" Ok, if you say so, let conduct a love test".
"That is the childish test we played during childhood". Sam said
That childish game is called a love test and yes it could predicted our future partner. Said Sarah.
Also it was invented by me so it is 85% accurate.
what happened to the remaining 15% by Sam
Well if circumstances and fate changes things but anyway this is just a fun way to try our luck. okay Sam, said by Sarah.
Sam said okay, well Sarah hit me with the questions?
Time to be the love doctor questions 1, when you met Jace what was the feeling like at first glance? Said Sarah.
Well the first time I met Jace I felt a spark I can't explain then it happened we started talking and then here we are talking about him.
Sarah: with my observation you both are crushing on each other hard my advice go with the flow of time. (Then a phone pings) Then she screamed ah we are more famous than Amanda beat that Amanda. Sam and Sander rolled their eyes but secretly pleased by this news.
The sisters regroup, reflecting on the day.
Sam: "High school is… a mission in itself."
Sander: "Observation, blending in… yeah, you're right."
Sarah: "I never thought normal life could be this tactical."
(Miss Bani walks in, smiling.)
Miss Bani: "Remember girls, danger can come in classrooms as easily as in ISS missions. Stay alert… and enjoy life too."
(Camera pans out: the shadow of a mysterious figure watching the school from afar. Foreshadowing Laspa's next move.)
Closing Narration (Sam's voice):
"Being a teen isn't easy… being a teen spy? That's next-level chaos. And now, there's someone new in the mix… Jace."
