Clap! Clap!
Hearing Mr. Takata attempt to gain our attention I lifted my head from the desk and checked the clock to see how long I was sleeping.
'9:00! Wow, I really slept for a while. Just how tired was I?' After checking the clock I brought my hands up and started opening and closing my fist.
'Damn my hands are numb. I'll have to use my arms next time for cushioning.'
"Firstly thank you for sitting quietly while your classmates were testing.
"Now seeing as the five of you have finished we'll all go outside to get some fresh air."
After saying this Mr. Takata led the class towards the exit located on the right of the classroom and down a hall wherein we passed many different rooms.
As we walked I took a glance into the rooms we walked by. Inside there seemed to be kids around the same age as us, each with their own respective sensei.
'These must be the other classes in the academy. I always thought there were only a few in the ninja academy. Then again I didn't pay that much attention to details like this when I watched the show.'
Once we reached the door at the end of the hall and went outside, I was momentarily blinded by the sun's rays and so I brought my hand up to shield myself and squinted to allow my eyes to adjust. Once they had, I saw a playground to my left with what I assumed was a training area, behind it was a running track, and to my right was a tree with a swing set.
'Ah, the infamous swing set, who's screen time was said to rival if not surpass Tenten's in the anime.'
"You will have a 30 minute recess break. If anything goes wrong Mr. Iruka here will care for you."
Saying this Mr. Takata went back into the building. "He must be going to grade our tests. Wait, did he say Iruka?"
"Yeah. Do you know him?" Looking to my right to see who was talking to me I saw the girl again.
"No, I don't know him, not personally anyway. I've just heard of him." Afterwards the girl gave me a look as though she wanted to ask more.
"Hmm. So, how do you think you did?"
"On the test? Hmm, if I had to say I probably did terrible considering I couldn't answer half the questions."
A/n: I've decided to stop using ' ' for Sozo's inner monologues. I figured it would make it easier to read but if you want them back let me know and I'll set up a vote chapter to bring them back.
I probably could've gotten more if I decided to answer the chakra based questions. I hope I don't end up regretting that later.
The girl gave a sheepish laugh "At least you were able to answer some questions. If I took the test I'd probably fail outright."
"Thanks. By the way, sorry but I'm not very good at memorizing names. What's your name again?"
"It's fine. My name's Haruka Uchiha." Hearing this I lowered my eyes and placed my hand on my chin to help me concentrate and memorize her name. "Haruka Uchiha Haruka Uchiha. Wait, Uchiha?!"
I looked back up and saw her smiling. "Yeah, I'm part of the Uchiha clan."
Hearing this I recalled all the events that happened and led to the Uchiha massacre. Should I tell her? No, if word gets to the higher ups or even to Fugaku I could be interrogated as to how I know this information. They may even use a Yamanaka to see what else I know and even if it doesn't come to that I would be under strict supervision. That is, if she tells anyone…
I won't tell her now outright, but I'll try to leave hints in the future. The Uchiha clan in the original series were too op for their own good and it'd be extremely valuable to have at least one as an ally in this world.
Although, if possible I'd like to save the entire clan. At least the children and newborns. I'm not nearly capable of that right now though, and I don't even remember when the massacre nor the events leading up to it take place.
The best I can do is prepare. With those thoughts I looked into her eyes which I just now noticed were Jet black. A signature color of their eyes, at least second behind the red of their Sharingan.
Not sure where to lead our conversation I just responded with "That's cool. By the way have you seen that Naruto kid? I've been meaning to speak with him. I was hoping the three of us could become friends."
