The Arena Master's call ended with Nikolai putting down his phone with a long sigh. He watched Ryan with bright red cheeks, speaking on the phone to his Lamia Queen on the other side of the room.
Before he realised, Leona slipped into the room and sat beside him with a fresh pot of coffee and some sweet snacks and pastries from the bakery downstairs. "I thought you might need a boost, honey."
"Leona, what would I do without you?"
She huffed and elbowed him, "You'd just run to Anya or another woman, right?"
"Haha..." She knew Nikolai too well, and he could only laugh nervously, shifting his hips to lean closer to his jealous wife. "No way, you're my only maid wife."
"Hmmmmph~ well, you're just lucky I am a foolish woman who loves her master."
"Oh, I am, but don't forget a loving husband who worships his head maid."
