Felicity tried to stay calm, but it didn't take long before the cracks began to show.
The trial continued.
The child Morgana was already conjuring her next spell. Her wand danced between her fingers like a living extension of her body while her voice came smooth and confident.
It was as if she didn't even strain from concentration.
"[Water Stream]."
A slender ribbon of water flowed in the air, circling her once before dispersing harmlessly.
"[Stone Edge]."
Pebbles from the polished floor floated, fused, then shattered apart with a clean snap.
"[Gust]."
Wind rushed past, enough to flutter the drapes, yet never losing control.
"[Flare]."
A miniature explosion of red sparks bloomed and fizzled before touching the ground.
These were all the most basic of basic elemental spells, available to level 1 Wizards, but that did not take away from the amazing feats the young girl conjured one after the other.
Knowing this, Felicity's fists clenched so tightly her knuckles popped.
