Quinlan strolled through the open air of his stronghold while his mind was still turning over the smithy's work and the weight of decisions ahead. His steps were steady, at least until a sudden ripple in the air above pressed down on him.
He immediately dodged back just as a furious meteor landed in front of him in the form of Miss Brutalizer herself. A crater formed with her in its center.
"I demand a rematch!" Raika's voice thundered.
"Hoh? I didn't take you for someone who'd strike from blind spots." His tone carried far too much confidence, and yet beneath it, his Still Heart had to work overtime for his pulse not to hammer. In truth, he had been a single heartbeat away from being flattened.
This woman was far too dangerous.
