At least, that was the case until Quinlan asked the single most important question on his mind:
"Who attacked you, Lady Black Fang?"
For the first time since she appeared, the woman's doll-like expression was threatened to break. A faint but clear sign of fury burned in her violet eyes, sharp enough to make Kitsara flinch beside him out of pure instinct. Her fingers dug into his arm as she clutched him tightly to her chest, looking for safety due to the sudden spike of killing intent.
Kitsara was not at all a damsel in distress, Quinlan knew it perfectly well, which only went to show how much threat she felt. He himself was also taken aback, but his Still Heart worked overtime to keep him battle-ready in the face of an existential danger.
"Adamantite Adventurer team Scarlet Lilies," Black Fang responded with a voice full of poison. But then she added, "The Fujimori clan."
