"I can try. No promises."
Her pout grew even larger.
"My life truly sucks!!"
Quinlan waited while she endured the terrible injustice of his answer. After a few seconds, Veshara sighed and beckoned him closer with a curl of her finger.
He bent toward her, and she rose onto her toes to meet him, cupping both hands around her mouth beside his covered ear. With her lips hidden from the rest of the deck, she lowered her voice to a whisper.
"All right... My class gives me 25% Strength, 25% Vitality, and 50% Agility."
Her hands hid her smile, but he could hear her pleasure as she continued.
"My dragon blood grants another 50% to Strength and Vitality. All included in the numbers I just gave you, of course. That's what you get to stand beside before I even start using spells~"
50%?
She lowered her hands and sank back onto her heels, leaving one palm against his breastplate as he straightened.
Quinlan stared at the beautiful face smiling up at him.
