The faces of the two Beast Masters changed drastically. Their expressions turned incredibly tense, and their eyes filled with intense wariness as they looked toward the direction of the footsteps.
Now that both their beasts had lost their combat effectiveness, the approach of a stranger, whether friend or foe, was a major concern.
If this person came with ill intent, their strength would be greatly diminished without their beasts to fight for them.
To put it bluntly, their current situation was like being fish on a chopping block, waiting to be slaughtered at will!

As a foot stepped out from the forest, the entire figure of the voice's owner appeared before them.
