At the same time, in the other four cities under the jurisdiction of Talonia State— Sand City, Seabreeze City, Clearwater City, and Summit City— the convoys escorting the younger generation of Beast Masters from each city were stopped by military soldiers as they passed through the Checkpoint Fortresses.
The soldiers asked whether they had encountered anything unusual along the way.
This was because all the Checkpoint Fortresses had simultaneously received orders from their superiors to check on the status of the convoys from the various cities.
They had also learned that the Aquilopolis City convoy had been attacked by the Beast God Cult and that two military Checkpoint Fortresses had been attacked and seized by the cult as well.
This news shocked the commanders of all the Checkpoint Fortresses, and they immediately placed their troops on high alert.
