Chapter 11 - The vow of a monarch

He woke with a start his body feeling strong and energy surged into his body through his meridians on his back. Blood, skin, muscle, and small fragments of bone surrounded his bed, confusing him on what had happened.

Getting distracted by an obnoxious itch that appeared on his back, he want to scratch it. Instinctively he tried using his left arm. The nub of his arm was waving around as he was thinking of scratching his back, he quickly stopped as the sight of his wildly swinging nub of an arm was ridiculous.

After he got back on track and itched with his right hand, he realized that his arm has regrown more itself by more than half. He tried to bend his arm and the two inches that stuck out past his elbow bent up slightly. It wasn't going to do much in that state, after all there was very little of the tendon had only barely grown in that area.

He noticed that even though his arm was ripped off there was no scaring on any of the spots,

he used his consciousness to scan his body for any other left over damage. He could feel that all his internal organs had seemed to be healed and in better shaped than before.

Once he was fully awake he noticed numerous messages floated in the air around him, one peculiar one stood out to him immediately though. A timer that had stopped mere moments ago.

[User has been asleep for, 76 hours and 57.34 minutes, body has stabilized from a state slightly before that of a critical condition]

"Damn, was I really asleep for over three days. That still doesn't explain my insanely rapid healing though." The timer message disappeared, and a new screen moved into his eyeline, quickly scanning through it he became in awe of his body.

[Physique Ashwrought Frame has been nourished by the evolved heart containing the source of nature and earth qi, Physique had begun the initial stage of evolution. Mastery over several other Dao is required to reach a higher tier of physique.]

"Hahahahaha, I knew my physique could improve more while I am still in the Human realm of cultivation. I wonder how much more I can advance it, before the Transcendent realm." His excitement was surging, but he was even to the most exciting messages. Just like the last message, this one disappeared and the next moved into his view.

[Due to the continuous use of both earth and nature qi, mastering the Dao of farming, along with the expert handling of medicinal herbs, The users class has ranked up. Class Sovereign of the azure harvest (rank g+) advanced —> Sovereign of the azure harvest (rank e+)]

John jumped up and shouted excitedly "Holy shit, I advance by two ranks because of my achievements in the secret realms." After calming down more he looked at the message a little more and realized something. "Wait, why is it bold though?" The system seemed to have waited for the exact moment before it popped up the next message.

[The rank of the class is bolder because it is so powerful it is only 1% less powerful than the next rank at its initial level, by the next rank up, the power of your class will be triple, and the power will only increase exponentially as your class continues ranking up]

He was extremely excited at the new powers that he had gained from his struggles against the Novice Training Module's advancement.

He exited the cavern and began his morning training for the Dao of stealth and to strengthen his muscles, he was running through the cave and ended back up at the lush cavern.

He made it to his training area with numerous trees blocking the sight and dense rocks carved into the shape of bars, plates, and dumbbells. After taking off his shirt and putting on his training shirts, he got ready to work out.

He pumped through the training and this time he used five of his thousand pound plates on each side of the incredibly sturdy bar he enhanced with numerous formations. Finishing with his daily work out of a thousand reps on the bench press and various other work outs he dressed back in his normal attire and began to head back to his cabin.

When a red messenge seared across his vision and he felt his connection to his constellation waiver, before he felt an extreme pain radiating from the connection he had to her.

[The Constellation Verdent Terrestra has experienced prolonged damage to her existence by a primordial god of chaos, her life is in danger will you save her?]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The constellation of earth and the harvest Verdent Terrestra sat in a damp, dim, and grimy room. Her limbs were bound to a stone wall and her power was being sucked from her body by the runes on the chains bounding her. Blood dripped from her wrists, ankles, and cracked lips, he breath was ragged and unsteady.
Even still, a power welled from within her. A power that could not be stollen, the power of medicinal herbs and extraordinary crops. The fused with her body rather than her energy, letting her slightly resist the intense drawing force of the machine.
At that moment she sensed the distant door sliding open and armored feet clattering against the floor. She stoped accessing the stash of materials that John had been sacrificing to her daily. She dropped her head, letting drool drip from her mouth and adopted a blank stare as she slide herself closer the the wall for support of her act.
She drew the vast majority of her spirit energy and infused it into her body as well, while the man was still aproching with his slow rhythmic steps. The energy enhances the changes to her physique, but wasn't noticeable by the bare eye. Making her look like another one of the completely drained constellations that filled the vast majority of the prison.
A man coated in a crimson red armor with a dragons skull mounted on his shoulder, passed by the cell and numerous other cells on his way to the end of the hall. He took note of the power left of all the constellations he passed, while above his there were numerous chains coming from each cell and connecting to the roof of the hall. His steps grew distant and he disappeared from her range quickly.
He arrived in front of a door and pushed it forward with force. As he did so a room with a bizarre generator looking device was revealed to him. Hundreds of chains connected to this device, and at its center stood a throne with a helmet held up by a multitude of wires and hoses.
The man sat on the throne activating hundreds of formations and bringing the generator to life. The generator burned the powers drawn from hundreds of captured gods and converted it using the the qi that he poured in steadily through a ball on the end of the thrones arm rests.
As he did so, more power was sucked form the constellations and poured into him, increasing his power quickly. Verdent Terestra shifted and a small vine slid out of her hair, quickly breaking the magic circle on the flats of the chains. Disrupting the attempt to drain anymore of he power, through she still writhed with agony as if queues of her soul and power were being ripped out of her.
She took the remainder of he spiritual energy and infused it into her physique slowly making it look like the power was draining progressively. A guard passed her cell as she slid down the wall, and with blood slowly dripping from her mouth she completely collapsed onto the floor.
The guard called his colleague and one stood guard at the entrance while the other entered the cell and used his magic to sense if she was still alive. He came back with no pulse or breathing and could see the color and feel the heat draining from her.
He unchained her and analyzed the chains, before picking up the body and hauling her down the hall in the opposite direction of the generator. The second guard continued his patrolling down the corridor toward the generator. Passing along several guards doing the same and hauling the corpses away.
The first guard reached the door that the armored man had entered through. He input a code on a key pad next to the door and passed through it quickly. He traversed through twists and turns in the cavern like prison, before arriving at a trash chute. He lifted the constellation and pushed her down the chute, he walked off down a different hall than he came down.
He arrived at a break room where he changed out of his work clothes and washed up. He then went to an elevator in the hallways outside of the break room and descended. The garage like area he entered had thousands of different teleportation circles leading to different floors of the dungeon. Arriving at his teleportation circle he stepped on it and vanished.
The goddess canceled her skill and her blood began pumping and mana began circulating around her. He shot up and took a deep breath, but soon regretted it as the stench of death infiltrated her nostrils. She looked around at the pit she ended up in and a dark expression spread across her face at the sight. Thousands of corpses were piled up around her, the evil god that had captured them drained every bit of there life force out and then threw them in a pit to rot.
Her rage began overflowing, but there was nothing she could do especially since she had dropped from a greater godesss to a minor goddess. She lightly slapped herself and began planing how to escape. The pit she was in was specifically designed to keep all the corpses held within and drained the last vestiges of power from the bodies of the constellations placed within it.
She tried using her full force attack on the wall and it had no effect so she had to think. She scanned the whole chamber with her senses and discovered an escape route. A minuscule crack in the wall, which was just deep enough to escape from the formations covering the walls and floors.
She used her dominion over earth and the over of life from her dominion over harvest to transform her body into a microorganism and escape through the minuscule crack in the wall. Using her power let her move insanely quick for a microorganism and once she was past the formation she cleared a small area and morphed again.
She turned into an earth worm and began chewing the earth in her path while imbuing the dominion over earth into her mouth and tunneled away. She calculated the best angle to get her as far from the fortress as possible while filling in the path behind her with earth magic. She pierced through the surface hundreds of miles away and morphed into a jackrabbit and continued sprinting for several weeks before she felt safe being hundreds of thoughsands of miles away.
She collapsed as her reserves of power and stash of sacrificed herbs from John had run out. Her transformation reverted as she ran out of the last ounce of mana in her body. The goddess felt resent erupting from her as she thought of how she had ended up like this. It was just after she had returned the dagger artifact to John. She began felling exhausted and a sharp pain erupted from her neck, she reached up and felt a dart had stabbed her and it was coated with some type of toxin that effected even her as a greater goddess. Hundreds of men then stormed into her domain as she tried to stand, but kept losing her balance.
They stabbed her with spears also coated in the mysterious poison. The spears didn't do much damage to her powerful physique, nearly scratching her skin. Sadly though the dart had caused he power to lessen allowing the spear to scrath her. The apears increased the power of the poison tenfold and she collapsed as it flowed through her blood stream.
When she awoke she felt that she had lost all power in her limbs, unable to move. She could feel her self bound to the wall in that damp and disgusting room. Moss and mold coated every surface and she felt her divinity being forcefully ripped from her body by the chains.
At that moment she thought of John, he was weak and had found himself stranded in the depths of the dungeon. She noticed him because he was the first person she had seen in the dungeon with a farming class and he exuded an extraordinary potential. She felt drawn to him and for some reason she felt that she could rely on him.
His actions spoke to that immensely and she saw the severity that he treated their contract with. He had been an amazing apostle and she felt an intense sorrow at the idea of never seeing him again.
Even though she had been a greater goddess, she had no followers other than John. She had that level because of her extraordinary mastery over her domains.
As she felt he power truly beginning to drain from her and death drawing near, a portal appeared before her and an outstretched hand reached towards her as the figure spoke.
"My goddess, I have come to save you". A muscular man who radiated power stepped through the portal fully at that point. As he did she felt her condition stabilize as an intense aura of life radiated from the man and flowed into her body gently healing her.
Tears streamed down her face as she felt her power being restored more and more in his presence. She stood shakily, but her legs gave out as she did, causing the man to catch her. She held on to him as a bush he didn't notice spread across her face. He supported her through the portal, and relief passed over her as she felt safe in his arms.
——————————————————
Through his connection to her, the memories of what had happened flowed into him.
For a heartbeat after he fully absorbed the memories, the world stood still. Then something inside him snapped.
John's rage detonated it was pure, molten, absolute. His fire exploded out of him like he was a volcano, lighting the forest a blaze. His rage wasn't a scream or a roar; it was a silence so deep that reality itself trembled around him.
The fire continued to flow out of him and ravaged the land around him, it was a deep crimson and exuded his intense wrath. The dungeon's walls groaned, the system's text flickered and distorted as if afraid of the wrath surging through his veins.
His heart thundered like war drums, every pulse hammering the name of the one who dared to harm her. Heat bled from his skin, his breath burned, and the air shimmered with the distortion of uncontrolled qi.
How dare that ancient chaos touch her? How dare it mar the one he had sworn to protect? His lady and the one whom his Fealty belonged to, the very goddess that had allowed him to live and who had blessed him with so many opportunities to grow stronger even at the risk of her own life.
His vision turned crimson. Threads of scarlet qi erupted from his body, coiling through the air like serpents of fury. Even the system faltered its calm voice now as the text was trembling.
[Warning: Emotional state exceeds human limits.Wrath Qi detected. User has mastered the Dao of wrath (Tier 2 rank novice) you have achieved the inferno of wrath, 2 out of the 7 aspects of the purgatory inferno mastered. Class Monarch of The Seventh Inferno has advance to (rank e+)]
John clenched his fists, and the world seemed to answer. The floor cracked beneath him. A gale of raw power swept outward as the crimson flames coated his body before fusing with it. At that moment he did not simply feel rage—he had become rage.
A cold rage spread through him, and he vowed to himself, "For the crime of Harming my goddess and invoking my wrath, you must be slain Chaos"
The vow of the monarch of the seventh inferno changed everything in the dungeon, it was the start of his legendary ascent.
