———

The new school day had commenced, and Peter woke up in his bedroom with Mary curled up beside him.

Her back was against his chest, his arm wrapped tightly around her waist. They lay in that silence for a few precious minutes, no words, no alarms, no urgency. Just warmth, stillness, and the kind of closeness that had quietly become routine.

Lately, they have been more intimate. Not just physically, but emotionally spending nights together, sharing everything without ever saying it aloud. Their bond had deepened in the quiet hours, away from school, away from the world.

Peter held her a moment longer before finally peeling himself away. She stirred lightly but didn't wake. He kissed the back of her shoulder, then rose and headed to the shower.

After the shower, he stepped into the kitchen wearing a black tank top and a pair of black boxers… no need to wrinkle the UA uniform before its time.

Mary was already there when he returned.

She'd pulled on one of his oversized t-shirts, her hair still slightly messy, her feet bare against the tile floor of the kitchen. She stood at the stove, stirring a pot of beef stew, and looked over her shoulder the moment she sensed him. Her smile was immediate.

Peter's face shifted from tired to exhausted-displeasure, the kind only she could provoke at seven in the morning.

"Good morning," Mary said brightly, "I brewed up a fresh pot of coffee for you."

Peter squinted. "You beat me out of bed?"

"Technically, I woke up when you kissed my shoulder," she said with a smug little grin.

Peter grabbed a mug and poured himself coffee, inhaling the steam like it was the only thing keeping him alive, "You've been doing this every morning, haven't you?"

Mary pouted, "I'm making sure you eat. You'd be a mess without me."

"This better not become a habit," he said, sipping the coffee.

"You literally gave me your spare key," she said, giving him a pointed look.

He didn't answer. The silence said enough.

She ladled beef stew into a bowl for him, sliding it across the table like she ran the place. Peter sat, lifted his spoon, and paused. Mary had walked around to his side. She rose onto her toes, puckered her lips, and closed her eyes expectantly.

He stared, "What are you doing?"

"I want a kiss from you… obviously," she mumbled without opening her eyes.

"We kissed each other, hungrily… last night," Peter said, "I'm all out of kisses."

"Pwease~" Mary gave Peter the puppy eyes as she quivered the bottom of her lip.

Peter sighed.

Then he leaned in like he might grant her request… only to snatch the ladle from her hand and taste the stew directly.

Mary's eyes popped open, "Hey!"

Peter stayed deadpan, "I needed to verify this wasn't poison."

"Oh my god… just kiss me next time."

He chewed thoughtfully, "Maybe."

Mary rolled her eyes, but her smile didn't fade. Whatever they shared behind closed doors was theirs alone, quiet, deep, and ever-growing.

They didn't talk about it. They didn't need to.

Peter only knew one thing for certain, every time he held her close, he never wanted to let go.

Later, on the bus ride to school, Peter and Mary sat side by side watching combat training footage on her phone, clips of their classmates in action, tearing through simulations. They smirked, whispered commentary back and forth, and enjoyed the rare calm of the moment.

Then the mood shifted.

Their smiles faded the second they heard the news: Iida's older brother had been critically injured by a villain.

The silence hit like a weight.

Neither said a word.

But Peter's hand quietly found hers and didn't let go.

Slowly the other students approached them with varying expressions of pride and excitement. They all turn around and look towards the rising sun of a better tomorrow as Peter takes off his mask with a look of uncertainty on his face.

———

Peter walked towards Iida as they were changing their shoes in their lockers.

"Iida-kun," Peter said, "I heard what happened and I've been meaning to ask you, how's your brother doing?"

"He's doing good, there's nothing to worry about," Iida said, "I appreciate your concern, Sakaeda-kun. How was your guys' trip to the United States?"

"Fun, but tiring," Mary said, flashing a quick smile.

Peter didn't say anything at first, but he glanced at her, subtle and soft, like a man still holding onto the warmth of the morning.

He hadn't planned to ask. But ever since that morning with Mary, ever since holding her in silence, he found himself noticing more. Feeling more.

Peter, Mary, and Iida walked to class together and saw Kevin and Vanessa already there. When they all took their seats, Peter later looked out the window and saw Midoriya walking alone.

He glanced at the clock, school was about to start soon.

He hated slackers. But today, he didn't feel annoyed… just tired. Tired of seeing potential wasted.

Without hesitation, Peter got up and jogged out of the classroom.

Midoriya was walking along the paved walkway and soon saw Peter in front as he ran out. "Sakaeda-kun?" he blinked, confused. "What are you—"

Peter said nothing. He just raised one hand, fired a web-line at Midoriya's chest, and yanked him forward like a misbehaving toddler.

"Let's go," Peter scolded flatly, "You're going to be late."

Midoriya stumbled into a sprint beside him, but Peter didn't slow down… he just grabbed the back of his backpack and started swinging them both toward the building.

Seconds later, Peter hurled Midoriya clean across the room and into his seat with military precision. Midoriya flailed mid-air like a sack of laundry.

Peter landed next to him and slid casually into his own seat like it was nothing.

"There's a difference after being aired on TV, huh?" Ashido said. "I was stopped so many times on the way here."

Kirishima smiled and pointed to himself, "Me too!"

"People were staring at me so I was embarrassed," Hagakure said.

"Isn't that usual for you?" Ojiro asked with a nervous smile.

"As for me," Sero groaned, "a little kid gave me the 'It's okay' chant."

"It's okay…" Asui said, mocking him with the same chant. Sero dropped his head on the desk in defeat.

"We've become the center of attention in just one day," Kaminari said.

"UA is amazing, after all," Mineta added.

"Seems like everyone within our class was receiving some praise from people," Mary said to Peter, nudging him gently.

Peter had a smirk on his face.

"Seems so," he said, glancing at her with that rare, low smirk she always pulled out of him, "Don't get used to the attention, though."

She chuckled, unfazed. He didn't say it to bring her down—just to keep her grounded. He knew she didn't need protecting. But still…

He wished he could hold her just a little longer.

Aizawa, who is now fully recovered from the USJ incident, entered the classroom. Peter was the first to stand up and the class followed his lead.

"Good morning."

"Good morning!" the whole class said to the older man.

The class soon sat in their chairs as Aizawa approached the podium.

"Kero," Asui started to make a comment, "Aizawa-sensei's bandages came off. I'm glad."

"That old lady's treatment is over dramatic," Aizawa said in an annoyed manner, "anyway, today's Hero Infomatic Period is a little special."

Peter was curious as to what this was as Aizawa soon spoke up, "Codenames. You'll think of your hero names."

Most of the class soon started to cheer as it was exciting for them. Peter was annoyed as most of them started cheering loudly and simultaneously with Kevin, Vanessa, and Mary joining in on the cheering. Fortunately, Aizawa shined his eyes as an indicator that he is using his Quirk and people soon sat down and calmed down.

"It's because that is related to the hero draft picks," Aizawa said, "I talked about two weeks ago. The draft starts its proceedings in two to three years, after you've gained experience. In other words, the calls that the first-year students received shows the interest they may have in your future. It's possible the offers will be rescinded if their interest in you dies down before graduation."

Mineta soon smacked the table, "Adults are so harsh," he said in a cynical manner.

"The calls we receive will come our own hurdle, right?" Hagakure asked.

"Right," Aizawa said, "and there are the results of the offers that you received."

He soon pulled out a remote from the podium and pressed a button to see the number of offers in class A.

Todoroki with 4123 offers.

Bakugo with 3556 offers.

Tokoyami with 360 offers.

Iida with 301 offers.

Kaminari with 272 offers.

Yaoyorozu with 108 offers.

Kirishima with 68 offers.

Uraraka with 20 offers.

Sero with 14 offers.

"Usually, it's more distributed but these two are getting attention this year," Aizawa said, referring to Todoroki, and Bakugou. Everyone was surprised at the results.

Peter watched the numbers flash raw data, value assessments, quantifiable praise. None of it bothered him. But something about it… felt off. Maybe this isn't the kind of strength I care about anymore.

"Seems like we've missed out on a lot," Peter said to himself.

"They're on a different level!" Kaminari said, groaning.

"The pros are so blind," Aoyama said in a huff with Ashido sitting next to him in shock.

"First place is Todoroki and second is Bakugou," Jirou said in shock.

"It's a weird placement considering that Todoroki was in third place in the Sports Festival ranking," Kirishima said in surprise.

"There could be some external reasons for this," Sero said to Kirishima.

Yaoyorozu sighed as she looked over to Todoroki, "You're amazing, Todoroki-san."

"I'm sure it's all because of my Father," Todoroki said.

"That is probably the sole reason why he has more offers than anyone else here," Peter said, "he's literally the prodigal son of Endeavor."

Todoroki looked at Peter who realized that he was bothered by it, "Oh, I'm sorry for saying that. I'm guessing that was a bit insensitive."

"It's fine," Todoroki said, "you didn't know, but I appreciate the apology."

Uraraka was beaming with joy as she was overjoyed and shook Iida by his shoulders, "I got an offer!"

Mineta saw Midoriya didn't have any and was shaking him for it, "Midoriya, you don't have any. They probably got scared because you fought so recklessly."

Midoriya couldn't help but agree with what Mineta had said.

"With that in mind," Aizawa spoke up to get their attention, "regardless of whether you received offers or not, you'll be in an internship with the Pro-heroes."

They all perked up at this.

"Internship?" Midoriya asked for clarification.

"Yes," Aizawa said, "At USJ, you all have already experienced a fight against the villains, but by actually working alongside a pro, you can receive a more productive training."

Uraraka and Satou were seen smiling at the revelation.

"That's what the hero name is for?" Satou asked.

"I'm looking forward to it!" Uraraka said.

"The hero names are temporary," Aizawa said, "but if you're not serious about it..."

The door slid open as a woman said, "Then you'll be sent to hell!"

Kaminari, Sero, and Mineta got excited for who entered the building while Peter had a displeased face.

'Could someone else have been a guest teacher for this?' Peter thought.

Mary glanced at Peter and smirked knowingly. She could practically hear his internal groan.

"Be nice," she whispered, just loud enough for only him to hear. Peter said nothing, but the corner of his mouth lifted barely.

Midnight entered the classroom as she continued to speak, "Since the names chosen as a student could become well known and end up as your professional name."

"Midnight!"

"Well, that's how it is," Aizawa said, "Midnight will evaluate your choice of names."

He soon grabbed his yellow sleeping bag and zipped himself in it, "I can't do these things. Choosing a name that represents your future, projects your desired image and brings you closer to it. That's what it means to say 'names and nature often do agree.' Like All Might."

The class soon received a whiteboard and a dry-erase marker as they were now starting with their hero-names.

Peter stared at the blank whiteboard. One name was obvious—the legacy name. But a part of him hesitated. Do I even know who I am yet?

"Alright, now you can present it once you've finished," Midnight said.

'We have to present it?' Kirishima thought in shock.

'That requires a lot of confidence…' Sero said.

Aoyama was the first to approach the podium as he presented his hero name.

"Here I go," Aoyama said, "a shining hero… I can not stop twinkling. Translated to say, 'I cannot stop twinkling.'"

'It's a sentence,' was what the majority of the students thought.

"You should remove the 'I' and shorten the 'can not' to 'can't.'" Midnight said as she rewrote Aoyama's name.

"Right… Mademoiselle," Aoyama said.

"That's okay?"

"And decide between English or French!" Satou said.

"Then I'm next!" Ashido spoke up as she ran to the podium, "My hero name is Alien Queen."

Midnight soon started to have a disturbed look on her face as she soon thought of an iconic Pop-Culture monster from the Sci-Fi Horror film, Ridley Scott's Alien. Peter thought of the same thing as he and Midnight thought of Ashido's face on a matured Xenomorph Queen.

"Do you want to be that thing with acidic blood?" Midnight asked, "Stop that!"

"Is there an international student named Ripley in this school?" Peter asked.

Ashido soon had a dejected face as she walked back to her seat to come up with a new name.

Peter thought of what kind of name he wanted, but he soon realized what he could do and wrote it down. Kevin, Mary, and Vanessa looked like they were ready to present their names.

"Kero," Asui raised her hand, "May I go next?"

"Sure, Tsuyu-chan!"

She soon started to the podium as she presented her name, "I decided on this name back in elementary school."

Asui soon turned the whiteboard around, "Rainy Season Hero: Froppy."

"How cute," Midnight said as she stood next to the amphibian like teen, "It's so personable too! It's a good model for a loveable name!"

Soon the class started chanting and it made some of the students motivated to create a cool hero name. Kirishima walked up and soon came up with the name, Red Riot to commemorate his idol, Crimson Riot. Next, Jirou came up to the podium and presented herself as the Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack. Shoji as the Tentacle Hero: Tentacole. Sero announced himself as the Taping Hero: Cellophane. Ojiro's Hero Name was the Martial Arts Hero: Tailman. Sweets Hero: Sugarman as Satou presented his name. And the rest are as follows:

Ashido, round 2 - Pinky.

Kaminari - Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt.

Hagakure - Stealth Hero, Invisible Girl.

Yaoyorozu - Everything Hero: Creati.

Todoroki - Shoto.

"Is having your first name as your hero name even acceptable?" Peter asked himself.

Tokoyami - Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi.

Mineta - Fresh-picked Hero: Grape Juice.

Koda - Petting Hero: Amina.

Bakugou - King Explosion Murder. (Midnight was quick to turn it down.)

Uraraka - Uravity.

'Now that's a good play on words,' Peter thought.

Mary - Superwoman.

Vanessa - Sabertooth.

"The ones left are Bakugou-kun, who has to think of another name, Iida-kun, Midoriya-kun, Kevin-kun, and then Sakaeda-kun, right?" Midnight said.

Peter stared down at the name on his board. He could've gone with something tactical—something sharp, cold, or clinical. But this name… it wasn't forged in Olympus. It came from him. From love. From pain. From the boy behind the armor.

Peter soon stood up as he cleared his throat and presented his name.

"My name is simple," Peter said, "so I'm going to be known as: Spider-Man."

Midnight gave a brief nod. "Simple. Classic. Bold. I like it."

Next, Kevin stood up, "I'll be known as the Wolverine."

Peter soon sat down as Iida was next to present his name, only for it to be his first name as well. When Midoriya came up, Peter was curious as to what the tree stump's hero name would be, but he and the class were surprised with some of them questioning it.

"I never liked this name, until now," Midoriya said, "But someone changed the meaning of this name and that had a big impact on me, and it made me happy. So this is my hero name."

"Now that's commendable," Kevin said.

Peter nodded slowly. Not a name of power. A name of meaning. He respected that. It's harder to carry a name that was once used to break you.

Peter and the class were impressed at Midoriya's choice of name: Deku.

"Lord Explosion Murder!" Bakugou screamed as he made his way to the podium.

"Nope, that's not it," Midnight said.

"Now that everyone has their hero names, let's talk about the internship," Aizawa said, "It's one week long. As for where it is, those who received offers will be given a separate list so you can choose from there. Those who didn't receive offers, will choose from the list we've prepared of 40 agencies that have agreed to take students in. Location and special forte for each one differs."

"For example," Midnight said, "Thirteen can focus on saving people from accidents and disasters instead of fighting villains."

"Think carefully and choose," Aizawa said.

"Yes sir!"

As the bell rang for the end of the period, the students received their lists.

"I want to fight violent crimes in the urban areas," Kirishima said.

"I prefer something associated with a water disaster," Tsuyu said, "Is there such a thing?"

"Turn it in by the end of the week," Aizawa instructed.

"We have two days?!" Kaminari asked.

"Choose carefully," Aizawa said as he and Midnight walked out, "class is dismissed."

Peter, Kevin, Vanessa, and Mary scanned their lists. Just one agency: Olympus.

Peter and Kevin exchanged a look.

"Wait… hold up. They picked you two?" Kevin frowned in confusion; he decided to speak in Korean to make sure no one understood the group. "Olympus doesn't just hand out offers. Especially not to non-Sakaedas."

Vanessa raised an eyebrow. "I mean, yeah, I'm vicious… but Olympus trains soldiers. Not ex-idols."

Mary tilted her head, "Maybe Masayoshi-harabeoji saw our records through Peter. But that still doesn't explain it. Olympus doesn't do outside recruits, especially not girls like us."

Peter blinked. He hadn't put in a word. Masayoshi hadn't asked. This… wasn't supposed to happen.

Kevin let out a dry laugh. "Or he ran a background check, saw the chaos they cause, and said, 'Yep. Olympus material.'"

Peter didn't answer. He just stared back at the name: Olympus.

Maybe Masayoshi had been planning this all along. Expanding the circle. Fortifying Olympus. Or maybe… Peter wasn't the only one being molded anymore.

Somehow, seeing their names there too didn't make the path feel less heavy. It just made it feel… inevitable.

Not surprising. They'd missed the Sports Festival while attending Eliza's wedding.

Still… it was a quiet reminder. Their legacy moved with them. Always.

Peter stared at the name, Olympus Agency. Of course. He didn't need options. He already knew the path. But for the first time… he wondered what it would've been like to choose.

During the lunch break, 1-A were still looking at the lists as they were thinking of where to go for their internships.

"Did everyone decide on a pro agency?" Ashido asked.

"I chose Mt. Lady!" Mineta said.

"Gee, I wonder why?" Peter asked with a sarcastic tone.

[SMACK]

Mary smacked Peter on the shoulder and looked at him as if to say, "That wasn't okay."

"Mineta-chan, you have ulterior motives," Asui said.

"See?!" Peter said while throwing his hands out toward Asui, "Asui-san agrees with me!"

"No!" Mineta said to Asui.

"Ashido, you had advanced pretty far so it's weird that you didn't receive any offers," Ojiro said.

"Right~?"

While this was happening, Peter was researching each Hero Agency with Mary sharing his chair, his laptop out on the desk. Kevin and Vanessa pulled up their own chairs, reading over the content with focused eyes.

The Olympus Hero Agency was different. The description alone read more like a classified briefing than a hero internship listing: Advanced patrol. High-difficulty rescue. Infiltration. Black ops. Deep cover assignments.

Founded by Masayoshi Sakaeda, Peter and Kevin's grandfather.

Peter narrowed his eyes at the screen.

"This isn't a hero agency," he muttered. "It's a war machine."

And now Mary and Vanessa were walking into it, too.

Peter's phone suddenly buzzed. He glanced down… it was JaWill.

"Sorry, I have to take this," Peter said to the group as he got up and exited the classroom into the hallway.

"Hello," Peter answered.

"Hey, man," JaWill said. "I finished repairing your suit and added a few upgrades. You got a place I can drop it off?"

"You can come over to my place," Peter said, "I'll text you the address."

He did, and moments later got a reply. JaWill would be there by tonight.

Peter returned to the classroom.

"Who was that?" Kirishima asked.

"A friend of mine," Peter replied, "Just dropping off something I'll need soon."

The others nodded as Peter sat down and immediately opened his email. There it was: newsuit.project.

He opened the file. No design mock-up. Just specs and handwritten notes.

Unlike the kevlar weave of his first suit, this one was built with a titanweave. Integrated sensors. Two wrist devices engineered to harness his organic webbing for new gadget functions.

Peter stared at the file name, newsuit.project. His old suit was destroyed. He wasn't. And this time, he wasn't just rebuilding. He was upgrading.

Mary, Kevin, and Vanessa leaned in, reading over his shoulder. The specs made them pause.

"So," Mary asked, pointing to the Olympus site. "Are we doing this?"

Vanessa looked at him. Kevin, too.

Peter didn't answer immediately.

"Are we sure about this?" Mary asked, more seriously this time. "This isn't U.A. training."

"Olympus doesn't hold back," Vanessa muttered.

Kevin glanced at Peter. "They won't treat them like students. They'll treat them like us."

Peter's gaze didn't leave the screen.

"Good," he said. "They'll survive it."

The four of them nodded. And one by one, they filled out their sheets.

———

It was nighttime as Peter, Vanessa, Mary, and Kevin were all eating together. The two girls had decided to move in with the boys at the latter's offer, as it would not only be cheaper, they would be able to make accommodations with Peter and Kevin staying in one bedroom and Mary and Vanessa staying in the other(although Mary and Peter sleep in the boy's side in the same bed while Kevin and Vanessa sleep on the girl's side on different beds). The dinner they had was takeout from the restaurant they always go to, but dinner was soon interrupted as the doorbell rang. Peter got up and walked to the door and saw JaWill standing there with a briefcase in his hand.

"Hey man, come in…" Peter said as he moved out of the way.

JaWill came in and saw they were eating dinner, "Oh, I'm sorry. I can come later."

"No, it's okay," Kevin said. "You've had a long flight. Come and join us, we have a lot of food."

"Oh, thank you," JaWill said as he washed his hands at the kitchen sink and joined them. Throughout the meal, he met Mary and Vanessa and had a great time.

Shortly after, the moment came.

JaWill placed the suitcase on the entertainment table and pressed a button to open it. Inside was the suit, identical in design to Peter's original, but cleaner, newer… heavier.

He held up a beaded bracelet to Peter's head. A soft sound wave was heard, followed by a small white light.

"It's to connect you to the suit through a neural link," JaWill said.

Peter stepped forward and ran his hand across the suit's surface. The texture felt like compression clothing, but stronger, sleeker.

"Titanweave," JaWill said, "Third-gen military-grade composite. Highly durable under pressure, with excellent kinetic absorption. It can still wear down over time, but it'll hold up longer than anything you've worn before."

Peter stared at it. Masayoshi didn't just want him protected. He wanted Peter to be indestructible.

It didn't feel like a gift. It felt like the next phase in a plan he didn't design. Peter ran his hand across the fabric again.

'I'm still being built.'

Mary watched him quietly from the couch, her eyes soft, searching. She didn't say anything. She didn't have to.

"Go and try it on," JaWill said.

Peter stood slowly, the suit cradled in his arms like a weapon meant only for him.

He didn't smile.

He just nodded and walked down the hall.

Peter came out without his mask on and felt how comfortable it was. He could literally sleep in this and not want to take it off, that's how comfortable it was.

"How does it look, guys?" Peter asked.

Kevin, Mary, and Vanessa gave Peter a thumbs up of approval.

"Looks great," JaWill said, "we need to do a field test."

Peter was on the rooftop as he was now wearing his new suit. The suit felt extremely comfortable as Peter was able to see more HUD and saw JaWill was calling.

"Hey… I'm up on the roof," Peter said as he looked down the streets of Musutafu.

"Good," JaWill said, "oh by the way, your suit contains some retractable wingsuit components. Your neural connection should help with activating it."

Peter nodded as he sighed as he looked down from the top and saw how high he was. He took a deep breath as he soon jumped off the tower and did a bullet dive. Peter kept breathing hard and as he felt he couldn't gain any more speed, he activated the web-wings and started gliding extremely fast. A black cloth popped out of the underarms of Peter.

"Woo hoo, LET'S GO!" Peter cheered as he glided at high speeds. He weaved through the tall buildings and when he reached the ground, he retracted the web-wings and first landed on his back and then rolled onto the ground and slid along the road. Unfortunately, the impact on the ground made his body slightly bruised up as he stood up and groaned in pain, thankfully the suit had enough protection to keep him from suffering any lacerations.

"Ow… that hurt," Peter said as he slowly stood up. He later saw on his suit's HUD that he obtained bruises along his back, ribs, and arms, "I should probably practice on sticking the landing."

"Your suit contains an antibacterial aerosol on the outside and inside," JaWill said, "besides, I heard you heal fast, so I added gels in your suit to help numb the pain."

Peter said nothing as he kept hissing in pain, but felt a relieving sensation along his body. He took a deep breath and felt better as he started to walk back to Alchemax.

Olympus didn't believe in comfort. Only readiness. The suit didn't soothe him. It patched him. Just enough to keep going.

As someone was looking at Peter, he waved at them, "Hello."

"Thanks for the upgrades, man," Peter said as he packed up his suit.

"Of course," JaWill said, he soon showed Peter the web-shooters and a pair of glasses.

"These were the devices that were in the project file, they help give your organic webbing a boost in terms of giving you web grenades, tripmines, ricochet webbing, splitter web, and taser webs with higher voltage, and other additional gadgets," JaWill said, "the glasses are a HUD to show the status of your gadgets."

Peter nodded as he put on the web shooters and glasses. The HUD was exactly the same as his suit, but didn't show his vitals.

As Peter packed up his suit, Kevin walked in.

"You're limping," Kevin said.

"Noticed that, huh?"

"Did the suit work?"

"Mostly."

Peter didn't elaborate. He didn't need to. Kevin just gave him a look and said nothing else.

Peter thanked JaWill with a fistbump before walking him out of the building and into his car where his driver drove off.

———

The next day had arrived and everyone was at the Train Station. Aizawa was there to send them a farewell and wish them luck.

They all walked off and the 4 teenagers were retrieved by a person in a black suit and were escorted into an SUV as they were driven to the main HQ in Tokyo. As they were in the car, the assistant who was dressed in a black formal suit without a tie sat there in an uptight and serious manner which caused the drive to be awkward.

The SUV arrived at the Olympus Hero Agency in Tokyo and it was a massive tower that was relevant to an Ivory Tower in the States.

"What a building…" Kevin said as his and Peter's eyes were slightly widened at the tower. Peter stared up at the structure. It didn't feel like a headquarters. It felt like a fortress. No warmth. No welcome. Just expectation.

The girls nodded in agreement as they entered the building and walked past the receptionist.

"We're UA students, we're here for the Internship," Peter said.

"Oh, right…" the receptionist pulled out their drawer and gave them four badges, "take these badges and scan yourselves in. Changing rooms are down that hall over there, they are separated by sex. Once you are done, take the elevator to the 87th floor."

They soon changed into their hero outfits and entered an elevator and went up to the higher floors. A wave of emotions surged through them, but the main one was anxiety. When the elevator opened, the doors opened to show other people who were dressed in tactical clothing on the desktop computers doing work to solve cases. There was a big door that led to the main office of the Pro-Hero.

The door opened to show a familiar man which made all four of them shocked. Masayoshi, clad in tactical gear, had clearly un-retired from being a Pro-Hero, at least temporarily to supervise them.

Peter's stomach tightened. Olympus wasn't just Masayoshi's agency. It was his legacy. And now Peter was expected to step into it fully.

"Grandpa… you run this hero agency?" Kevin asked.

"I founded this Agency," Masayoshi said, "if you or Peter asked questions and called more often you would know more about this place."

Disappointment was seen on Masayoshi's face as he crossed his arms and looked at his two tall grandsons with disdain. The two boys looked down with shame as they knew they would be receiving a scolding from their Grandmother.

"Now… I may be your grandfather, but this is Olympus," Masayoshi said, tone flat. "You will operate across investigation, medical response, patrol, sting operations, and surveillance. You will report directly to me. When your time is up, I'll submit an evaluation to UA Based solely on merit."

"Yes sir…" the four said.

"Good," Masayoshi said.

He turned to Mary and Vanessa.

"I didn't extend this invitation lightly," he said.

Mary met his gaze without flinching. Vanessa tilted her head slightly, curious.

"I've reviewed your records, your reflex tests, your adaptability scores… and your conduct under pressure. You're not like my grandsons. You weren't trained for war. But you're survivors."

He took a step forward.

"I don't train potential. I train people who endure. That's why you're here."

He let the silence settle.

"Now let me give you a tour of the building…"

As he turned away, his voice returned, cold and direct.

"At the end of this internship, you'll take a private Provisional License Exam. It will not be like Japan's. It will be harder. It will be real. If you pass, you will receive your licenses before your classmates."

Peter's eyes flicked to Kevin. Mary blinked slowly, registering the weight of what had just been said. Vanessa raised an eyebrow.

"Wait… seriously?" Kevin said, voice low. "Before everyone else?"

Mary looked at Masayoshi, cautious but intrigued. "And if we fail?"

"You won't," Masayoshi replied flatly, without even glancing back.

Vanessa smirked, the corner of her mouth twitching. "Well… I guess we better not disappoint Olympus."

Peter didn't speak. He just clenched his jaw, nodding once. He knew what this was. It wasn't an opportunity. It was an expectation.
