Chapter 136 - Roasting the Fish by the Fireplace

The front room looked more like a kitchen with a fireplace than a living room.

The brick fireplace was piled up in a reversed "凹" shape and was oddly wide enough to place things on it, and it was blackened with what looked like burned marks.

Esty-san stood up, pulled the knife from her waist, and started scraping off the scales.

Ah, I see.

Fish have to have their scales removed when roasting.

I thought I could just thread the fish I caught in the river straight onto a stick and roast it by the campfire.

Then Esty-san cut the fish into rounds with the knife.

Well, it was really big, so round slices like salmon would be better, right.
