Ash landed on his back, looking up at the sky, unconcerned about his own situation. He simply watched the three legendary birds above, surrounded by light and roaring continuously.
Within the light, three figures gradually separated into three distinct orbs, indicating that the legendary birds were being freed from their forced fusion.
Ash smiled when he witnessed this, though everyone else remained worried about his condition.
The golden and red orbs of light dissipated first in the air. Zapdos and Moltres swooped down quickly, racing toward Ash's location to reach him.
On the other side, the blue orb dispersed, revealing Articuno's form. It looked toward the nearby helicopter, its eyes flashing with clear spite.
Spreading its wings wide and emanating blue light, Articuno beat its wings powerfully, suddenly releasing a fierce ice storm that blew directly toward the adjacent helicopter.
After the three legendary birds separated, the previous fusion amplifier was destroyed, and the controller in Giovanni's hand naturally stopped working.
The helicopter was struck by the Blizzard attack, causing the entire aircraft to shake violently. The rotors gradually accumulated frost under the extreme cold, producing increasingly strained mechanical sounds.
"CRACK! SNAP!"
Ice froze the helicopter's rotors completely, and the entire aircraft suddenly plummeted uncontrollably. Seeing this scene, the crew members immediately rushed to Giovanni's side.
"Boss! You must escape immediately!" His subordinates reached Giovanni's position. Although the helicopter could no longer be controlled, they still prioritized protecting their leader's safety.
Meanwhile, Ash continued falling through the air. Even though Moltres and Zapdos were approaching to help, he was about to hit the ground.
Suddenly, Ash was enveloped in brilliant blue light. Not far away, he saw a figure wrapped in the same blue radiance flying toward him.
She raised her hands slightly, her long purple hair flowing with the blue energy as she used incredible psychic power to catch Ash just before he struck the ground.
Ash looked at his rescuer and smiled with relief. Just like in Saffron City, no words were needed—there was perfect understanding between them. Sabrina looked at Ash with an expression that said, "I won't let you fall."
Soon, Sabrina used her powers to gently lower both herself and Ash to the ground.
Zapdos, Moltres, and Charizard landed beside Ash one after another, just as a tremendous crash echoed from the other direction.
"CRASH! BOOM! BOOM!"
The helicopter plummeted, creating an enormous impact. The area where it fell became complete chaos.
Ash saw this and walked toward the wreckage. Sabrina immediately followed him to the ruins, where they found several figures standing beside the debris, looking somewhat disheveled.
Only Giovanni's figure remained as composed as ever. He calmly removed the control device from his hand and threw it into the flames now consuming the helicopter without any apparent regret.
"Where's the Master Ball?!" At that moment, one of Giovanni's subordinates spoke in panic, searching frantically around the area. He hadn't been paying attention when the helicopter crashed.
The box containing the Master Ball had been accidentally lost during the impact. Now he looked around desperately, knowing that losing the Master Ball was no trivial matter.
At that moment, Gary and the others arrived and positioned themselves behind Ash. They all showed expressions of alertness when they saw Giovanni and his crew.
Then, a figure emerged from the nearby shadows, holding a purple Poké Ball—the Master Ball that Team Rocket had stolen.
"What? Master Silver?!" The Team Rocket member looked surprised when he saw what the newcomer was holding, but spoke respectfully at the same time.
Green and the others were shocked when they heard what the Team Rocket member called Silver, finally understanding his true identity.
Giovanni put his hands in his pockets and looked at his son calmly, while Silver stared at the Master Ball in his hand as if no one else existed. After a moment, he made an unexpected move.
Silver casually threw the Master Ball in Ash's direction, leaving everyone stunned by this action.
"Master Silver..." Giovanni's subordinates stared in disbelief at this scene, while Giovanni's expression remained unchanged from beginning to end.
Ash instinctively caught the Master Ball that Silver had thrown to him. Silver observed this scene, glanced once more at Giovanni, then turned away from his father without speaking a word and disappeared back into the darkness.
Simultaneously, something massive approached from the sky above—Team Rocket's airship. Proton and Petrel, who had previously escaped, piloted the craft closer.
Then, the figures of Archer, Ariana, Proton, and Petrel appeared above the ship. They jumped down using ladders and approached Giovanni's position.
"Boss!" The four executives reached Giovanni's side, with Archer speaking somewhat disappointedly.
"It appears the plan has failed."
"At least we should retrieve the Master Ball!" Proton looked in Ash's direction and spoke coldly.
As soon as he finished speaking, numerous Team Rocket members gathered from all directions, instantly surrounding Ash and his friends.
It seemed they weren't planning to retreat yet. Though the plan had failed, they intended to secure the Master Ball at minimum.
"They just won't give up!" When Gary and the others witnessed this scene, they all took out their Poké Balls and prepared for battle.
Ash held the Master Ball in his hand and weighed it gently. President Silph had entrusted this Master Ball to him, but he had no intention of keeping it.
If they continued fighting over this device, it would be detrimental to everyone involved.
"Pika pika!"
Pikachu leaped to Ash's side, always ready for combat. Seeing this, Ash picked up his cap and placed it firmly on his head.
Then he raised his head slightly and looked at Proton and the others who wanted to reclaim the Master Ball, a mocking smile playing across his face.
Everyone on Team Rocket couldn't understand the meaning behind Ash's confident expression, but Giovanni's eyes, which had remained calm throughout, finally showed a change.
"Charizard!" Ash called out softly, then threw the Master Ball high into the air.
Their minds were connected, and Charizard understood Ash's intentions perfectly. At the same time, it looked up at the Master Ball falling through the air.
