Chapter 29 - Chapter 28

As they enter the blacksmith's store, Sebastian gives Ren an unexpected piece of news, "here is where all the equipment for palace personnel is made, including her Majesty's reinforced stilettos". Ren, "I was wondering about that after we fought, but it wasn't priority enough to bring it up. So those are specially made...I thought that wearing them would be a hindrance in battle to be perfectly honest". Sebastian, "yes, they are a hindrance for all races bar Dark Elves. Most Dark Elven women who fight prefer to use them because they make a great emergency weapon as they can be unexpectedly fatal".

Ren, unsure how exactly to process this information, is that all? It doesn't sound like just that is enough offset the disadvantage of wearing them...but it's not my place to judge, "hm... it's interesting at the very least...but also scary. The thought of getting a heel to the eye is gruesome. Liza uses boots, but Lorilay wears heels, just not the stiletto type. It's frightening to think there are women out there that use high heels as weapons", I don't even want to think about getting a kick to the nether region.

Sebastian, "there is also a form of martial arts that focuses primarily on using them. It is truly a sight to behold", one of my wives is an avid practitioner, and it's a sight one never forgets after seeing it one time. Ren scratches his check nonchalantly, "well…I'm at least a little interested in seeing a demonstration", I'm curious about how they use them to fight. I's definitely not because I want to see women in heels. I swear. They're Dark Elves, so most of them are probably muscular. I wouldn't go out of my way to see that unless it was truly interesting...why am I trying to convince myself?

While they were talking, the receptionist went and got one of the two owners. She didn't even greet them once she saw who they were, just straight to getting the boss before they could get close. A middle-aged woman appears as they finish up their conversation, "nice to make your acquaintance, your Majesty. I'm Jella, the head of armour making".

Ren, "hello Jella, just 'Ren' is fine, or 'Sir' if you really must be formal. I've come to put in a request for a weapon to be made". Jella, "understood, Ren", as she signals to the receptionist, who in turn goes to the back offices. Jella can't help but inquire further despite being an armour maker, "a weapon? We thought you had come to order new armour, just like Elza did". Ren, "Elza was here?".

Jella, "yes, she was here. She was accompanied by the two beautiful women you also danced with at the ball. They both ordered new armour as well. I assumed those two were also your women, so we treated them with the utmost care", well, no doubt they're his women since he danced with them at the marriage ceremony. Ren, "oh, yes, they are my...girlfriends", man, that's hard to say. Jella can't help but smile slightly at his innocence, "well, I'm glad for Elza. She found what she was looking for. Please look after her for me. I looked after her since my sister and her husband passed, so she's like a daughter to me".

Ren is completely caught off guard by this statement, "oh...em, sorry. I didn't know that. So...you're her aunt?", man this caught me off guard. Jella, "yes, I am. I didn't introduce myself last night because you looked so overwhelmed. My full name is Jella Florenza, the same family name as Elza's". Ren, "I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I won't ask for the details as I'm sure Elza will tell me about her past when she feels the need to".

Jella warmly smiles at his consideration, "strong and considerate. I'm liking you more and more. My speciality is stilettos, but I somehow doubt you wear them. We did have so male soldiers wear them in the past, but almost no man wears them now. My armour making skills are also quite up there, so if you need any type of armour made in the future, come to me and I'll give you the family discount". Ren, "oh, thank you very much. I appreciate it", yeah...don't think I'll be ordering stilettos...no offense.

Jella, "on that note, would you like some armour made? You didn't seem to be wearing anything special during the tournament for some reason". Ren, "my magic may be strong, but I'm just average in physical strength. I think wearing armour would be counterproductive for me". Jella can't help but tilt her head in confusion. Ren tilts his head in response to hers, mirroring her confusion.

Sebastian decides to resolve the confusion, "his Majesty is a reincarnated hero from another world, and thus has no knowledge of this world. Be it our customs, traditions, or anything else. He wasn't even aware of the Dark Elves marriage ceremony until I explained it to him this morning". Jella takes a second to process what she heard, her eyes blinking a few times before she bursts out in laughter, "hahaha, so you married Elza without even knowing what was happening? That must have been quite a shock". Ren just awkwardly looks away, not wanting to talk about it.

Sebastian, "his first thoughts after gathering himself was to buy her Majesty a wedding ring. We are going to pick it up after we finish here and head back to the palace". Jella stops laughing and switches to a more...caring demeanour. The smile she gives Ren is one full of motherly love, "thank you. I'm sure she'll be thrilled".

Ren can feel the immense love and care behind that smile, so he tries to reassure her, "I couldn't just not get her one, could I? As soon as I found out, it became my first priority because, you know...it's the right thing to do". Jella, her eyes full of gratitude, "most people would be too concerned with themselves to think about something like that when they just found out they unknowingly just got married to a Queen. To push aside your worries and show your affection through an important symbolic gesture...it shows you actually think about her. It makes me feel more at ease than you could possibly know. Thank you, Ren".

Just then, a man walks into the reception. Jella switches back to work mode in an instant and gestures to him, "your Majesty, this my business partner. Our shop's head weapon smith, Sodjer". Ren turns to him, "nice to meet you". Sodjer, "nice to meet you, your Majesty. It's a great honour".

Jella, "his Majesty has a job for you, but can I finish talking to him first? Also, he seems to prefer 'Sir' over anything else. Even though I'm technically family, Sebastian didn't look too thrilled when I used his name". Ren gives Sebastian a disapproving glance, not allowing him to say anything in his defence. Sodjer gives an awkward chuckle, "duly noted. And that's no problem. I was hammering out back until now, so I'll get a drink while you talk. Excuse me, your Majesty", as he flashes smile before walking off.

Jella turns back to Ren, " to continue our previous conversation; in our world, here in our Dark Elven Forest, there exists a spider monster that makes web as durable as chainmail. We harvest it, process it, and make armour from it. Or we just sell it as raw material. It's a little resistant to fire, but too much of it will destroy it, so you have to be careful when fighting fire-magic users. It is costly, but a King would have no problem paying for it. Elza uses it, and both of your girlfriends also ordered some of it, too".

Ren tries the process this in his head, "hm...I see. I never considered that something like that exists". Jella, "it will have much better protection than what you have now at the very least. I assume you want some now that you know about it. Do you want ready-made clothes or custom-made clothes? Your ladies went for custom clothes, which I would also recommend".

Ren, "I assume custom made is more expensive. I'm using my personal funds, so I can't afford to spend it all". Jella blinks blankly in response, "personal funds? You're a King, are you not? Use all the money you want. Most rulers would consider their protection the most important thing for the country. Can you imagine the chaos if a monarch suddenly died but it was easily preventable?". Ren, "well...I see your point, but the country's money should be used for the benefit of the country. I may be King, but I'm not this country's ruler, so I can't just use its money as I please".

Jella, as she hands him a catalogue, that's a bit surprising to hear, "you can look at what we offer in here. Once you decide, please fill out one of these forms". She searches through the forms to hand him one. As she does, she notices something, "oh, I didn't see this before. Elza has already filled out a form requesting custom armour clothes for you. Everything's already filled out, even your sizes. She must have done this when I was busy with the other two. I wish she would have told me".

Ren, "oh, eh...well, I guess that settles that", guess I don't have the option to refuse after all...and how did she know my sizes? She couldn't have learned them from last night, right?...right? Jella, "sorry for taking up your time even though you came here for something else. And the matter was already settled, too. I'll go get Sodjer so you can do what you originally came here to do", as she excuses herself.

Once she's out of sight, Sebastian can't help but praise Elza, "as expected of her highness". Ren, "I can't complain if she's already decided on it. If I knew there was such a type of armour, I would have liked to have bought it earlier". Sebastian, "it's rare and high in demand. It's already expensive as is, so trying to import it will cost a pretty penny. I doubt you could've afforded it before recent events". Ren, "don't analyse me like that. Feels weird". Sebastian, "I'll refrain from informing you". Ren, so you'll do it anyway...

Not long later, Sodjer walks back down the hallway to greet Ren once more, "sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Sodjer, the head weapon smith around these parts. Would you like to move to my office to talk, Sir? I'm surprised Jella didn't take you to hers, but she probably assumed she wouldn't hold you up for long". Ren takes him up on the offer, so they proceed down the hallway.

Ren doesn't waste any time getting into the details as they enter, "we came to talk to you about making a weapon, one that's probably never been made before". Sodjer, as they enter his office, "a never before made weapon? Now that draws my attention. Please sit, Sir". Ren sits to where Sodjer gestures while Sebastian elects to stand behind him.

Ren, "I'll get straight to the point. I want you to design a crossbow in a joint project with a researcher". Sodjer, as he sits down at his desk, "a crossbow? I'm afraid I've never heard of such a weapon before, Sir". Ren, "I say crossbow, but that's not entirely correct either. I want you to make a small bow that can be attached to my wrist. I pull back the sting, which is held in place by a leaver or something. I would then press something, releasing the leaver and firing the arrow".

Sodjer strokes his beard in thought, "that's a very...Interesting idea, Sir. But I don't see how a bow that could fit on a wrist would deal any sort of damage. It wouldn't shoot an arrow far at all". Ren, "you don't need to worry about that. I'm firing lightning arrows. All the speed and power is determined by the arrow, it just needs the acceleration at the start. I just need something that can fire the arrow properly. It doesn't need to be like a proper bow. Think more along the lines of a children's toy".

Sodjer, "a toy, Sir? Well, if I think of it like that, creating something like that should be possible", if it just needs to launch an arrow and not need to kill anyone, it should be doable. Ren, "the hardest part is the material that it has to be made out of, or rather, coated with at the very least. We've already talked to the researcher and they've agreed to lend their expertise".

Sodjer continues to stroke his beard, "hm...this is getting more and more interesting, Sir", I'm not too thrilled on making a toy, but I can just think of it as making prototypes. If it goes well, it might turn into a proper weapon one day. And a collaboration is always fun. Ren, "Sebastian, can I leave the arrangements to you? We probably won't be here the entire time until it's completion". Sebastian, "of course, Sir".

Having finished his business, Ren stands up, "that was all that we wanted to discuss. I'll leave the finer details to Sebastian. If you need anything, please coordinate with him". Sodjer, "as you wish, your Majesty. Thank you for coming to me with this. I think it will be an interesting project", I feel like there's something I'm not realising the significance of, but I guess I'll have figure it out myself. I'd love to ask more questions, but he seems busy, and only a fool would dare stop a King who wishes to leave. Ren, "it's a given I'd go to the best weapon smith around". Sodjer, "your Majesty is certainly good at flattery. I see why the ladies gather around you". Ren, "smooth talking me won't get you anywhere".

They laugh for a moment before Ren starts heading towards the door, "thanks for your time, Sodjer. I have dinner plans so I need to return now. Let's us know if you need anything". Sodjer, "of course, your Majesty. Please have a lovely dinner". Sodjer watches them leave and turns around to leave through a different door, "alright, let's get too it...after pawning off my current project".

Not long later, Ren is sitting at one end of a long rectangular table. Elza is sitting off to his right side, as close to him as she can be. Liza and Lorilay are sitting on the side opposite to Elza. Ren feels a bit awkward sitting at the most important seat, shouldn't this be where Elza, the ruler of this country, sits? I don't understand, "don't you have a...smaller table we can sit at? One where we don't have to sit all...formal?".

Elza is completely nonchalant about the whole thing, "nope. But we are sitting informally at the moment". Ren, "oh...ok". Elza, "it feels much better eating with company at this big table. Company I can relax around I mean. If I don't eat alone, it's usually for official business".

Now that Ren's seated, the maids start to bring in elegant looking food one after the other, gracefully setting them down on the table in front of them. Ren tries his best to no pay attention to how considerate they're being, I'm not sure I'd ever get used to being treated like a King, "so, apparently, there are some things that need to be said, me included, but I'd rather do mine after everything else is said and done".

Liza sets down the fork she just picked up, "I'll start since I promised I'll talk". She clears her throat as she tries to muster up the courage to say what's on her mind, "I'm...worried". Her eyes crestfallen, almost afraid to face the others as she mutters the words that are making her feel so meek. Lorilay can't help her voice from rising a little, "worried? About what?". Liza slumps her shoulders and hangs her head, "about...If I'm strong enough to accompany you guys on our journey".

They are all stunned to hear this, albeit for different reasons. Elza is the first one to say what's on her mind, "I haven't seen you fight, but I can tell at a glance that you're no pushover. I'd like to face off against you one day", after you've gotten a bit stronger. Lorilay, "well, I have seen you fight. You are by no means weak in the slightest. I honestly don't know what to say to you because this is just completely out of nowhere". Ren, "I have no idea where this is coming from either. Can you elaborate as to why you feel this way?".

Liza hasn't looked up from the table since she last spoke. Her voice is weak and quivering as she try to explain her feelings, "Lorilay beat Vall. Ren could probably have beat him, you even said you had a way. Elza wasn't there, but his magic would've been useless against her, and she could easily go toe-to-toe with him when it comes physical capabilities. She could beat him, no doubt. But me? No matter how hard I think, I can't come up with any way to beat him. He reflects all my magic back at me. My physical enhancements from my magic are just that, physical. It's not like my eyes got fundamentally better at seeing and reacting. If I lunge at someone while I'm enhanced and they dodge at that speed, I wouldn't be able to do anything against them. I'm worried, and afraid that the best I can do is hold off the small fry".

Liza, still hanging her head, is now clenching her hands into fists of frustration. Ren nonchalantly cuts through the atmosphere like a hot knife on butter, "but I think you could have beat him, one way or another". Liza looks up at Ren in disbelief, "how? No matter how much I thought about it, I couldn't find a way!". Ren, "there are things you wouldn't know unless you fight someone directly, right? When I was fighting his comrade, one of my bolts missed because of his attack. That bolt went right towards Vall. Vall noticed at the last possible second and dodged. Why would he dodge if he can counter all magical attacks?".

Liza and Lorilay look at each other, trying to gauge each other's thoughts to see if either knows the answer, but are unable to do so. No one is willing to offer an opinion, each for their own reasons, so they decide to just listen to Ren. Ren senses this, so he continues, "maybe there are conditions to using his power. Like he has to be aware of the attack coming at him, so sneak attacks with magic would work against him. That's why I came up with the move I used against Elza".

Liza is in shock, "...I never even considered something like that. It's true that there are records of people with unique abilities that had conditions that needed to be met in order to use their ability. I just...gave up after measuring my own abilities against what I saw of his", this was the first time I've come up against someone I knew was better than me. I just accept that fact and didn't think of how to overcome it. I'm...an inexperienced idiot.

Ren, "that's why you need to actually fight someone, or scout them out, to actually know if you can beat them or not. Even the fact that you were thinking of ways to beat him shows that your mind doesn't think he was an unbeatable enemy". Lorilay raises an eyebrow at this statement, "what do you mean by that?". Ren elaborates by giving an example, "hm...imaging if you had to fight a God that could snap his fingers and instantly kill anyone, anywhere. How would you beat him?".

Liza and Lorilay look at each other with faces of uncertainty. Elza on the other hand is 100% confident in her answer, "it's impossible to beat him. The second he knows you're his enemy, you're dead". Ren, "exactly. Trying to think of anything in the first place is useless. Your brain wouldn't even attempt to think of anything because the gap in strength is too great. The fact that you were trying to think of ways to beat Vall shows that he was a beatable enemy. Don't just assume you can't beat someone without actually fighting them".

Liza, feeling a bit annoyed with herself, "you can say that all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that I wouldn't be able to beat him head-on, which is the most important". Ren rubs him temple, "if I was you...I would encase both yourself and Vall in a sphere of flames, disrupting his vision of the surroundings. And while he's trying to counter the flames, swing at him with your spear, but let him dodge, making him think it was just a regular spear attack but it was actually your wind attack, beating him...maybe", feels like 50-50.

Liza stands up and slams her hands on the table in response to his relaxed attitude, causing him to recoil a bit, "you say it like it's the simplest thing in the world! Even if it disrupts his vision, blindly sending flames at him is suicide. He'll just send them back at me, burning me to a crisps before I can get close enough to strike him!".

Ren can't help but stare blankly at her, not sure how to best respond. He looks at the other two, but they seems to be of the same opinion as Liza, "emm...could it be that you guys haven't realised?". Liza, now impatient and a bit angry, "realised what?". Ren tries to explain as calmly as he can, trying to not aggravate Liza any more, "Vall's unique was magical counters, right? It allows him to return an enemy's magical attack back at them". Liza snaps a little more at the obvious statement, "that's why I can't blindly release flames at him without any thought!".

Ren starts sinking in his chair, "he throws your magic back at you...your magic, not his, so it wouldn't affect you with your Unique, right?". He says this while poking his head above the table. Liza just falls silent at his statement, slowly sinking back into her seat looking like someone has flipped her world upside down. Lorilay, "now that Ren mentions it, if you think about it, it makes sense. If he absorbed magic, then that would make it his own. But the fact that he didn't do that with my magic makes me think that Ren is right. He couldn't do it, or I would have been riddled with spikes by now". Ren, now slowly returning to sitting upright in his seat, "exactly".

Liza turns pouty out of embarrassment and turns away from Ren. Lorilay can't help but comment as Liza turns to her, "were you always that character?". Liza addresses Ren while facing away from him, "when you told me you had Ultra Instincts, I thought you wouldn't use your brains at all, but you're actually pretty smart". Ren, exasperated, "I don't know if you're complementing or insulting me".

Elza claps her hands together once, "anyway, that's one problem solved. Why don't we eat. Ren can finally tell us about what he was doing at the dildo shop". Ren gives a sigh as Elza starts to eat, the other two soon following. Liza wasting no time gobbling down her food, like so dam in her that was holding her back has finally broken. Ren starts playing with his food on his plate in dejection, "I'll give the short version. There is a weapon that exists in my world, it's like a bow, but you don't pull and hold the sting back. You just load the arrow and fire it. Reset it and fire again".

Elza can't help but be confused, "so you wanted to make this weapon...in a dildo shop? You want to fire dildos at your enemies?". Ren sighs again while the other two stifle a snicker, "no. I want a modified version of it to shoot lightning. In order to do that, I need it to be made of a certain material called 'rubber' from my world. You call it 'blood of the trees' or something in this world".

Lorilay is befuddled by his statement, "a weapon out of tree blood???". Ren, "not exactly. The weapon needs to be coated in rubber in order to, in theory, fire lightning. And a researcher opened up...that shop, which uses rubber...understand?". Elza, and the other two, finally understand, "I see, that place does indeed use the blood of the trees. Guess it really wasn't what we thought. How unfortunate". They all ignore her comment. Lorilay, "so you went to that researcher to get them to help make the weapon?". Ren, "the researcher owns that shop so I had to go there. I then-". He stops what he's saying to address Liza in suprise, who hasn't stopped eating and is creating a lot of noise in the process, "HOW MUCH ARE YOU GOING TO EAT? You're going to make yourself sick eating all that!".

Liza shoots him a glare, "apparently, I've been worrying over nothing the past few days. Now that it's settled, I seem to be quite hungry. Got a problem with that?". Ren shrinks back into his seat a little again. Lorilay eyes Liza suspiciously, that's not how our bodies work though...or are humans different? Ren awkwardly smiles, "no...no problem at all. To continue, I then went to enlisted a blacksmith to create a joint project between him and the researcher to make the weapon. I met Jella by the way, Elza".

Elza's fork freezes mid-air, "I see. I hope she didn't say anything unnecessary". Ren, "she told me that she took care of you after your parents passed". Elza sighs involuntarily as she puts her fork down, "what else?". Ren, "nothing else. I told her that I should hear anything else directly from you". Elza looks away from him, not wanting to show her face, "it's nothing to make a fuss about. My parents never came back from a battle with the Demon army. That's it". Ren can easily tell that there's more to it than that, "...I assume that has something to do with you wanting to defeat the Demon King?".

Elza doesn't answer, still looking away from him. If she could avoid his gaze anymore without simply leaving the room, she would. However, the thought of leaving the room just doesn't occur to her. Ren detects that he shouldn't press for any more information from how she's acting, "I don't expect you to suddenly tell me everything. You don't have to tell me anything at all if you don't want to, but if you ever do, I'm here to listen. No, we're all here to listen if you ever want to talk".

Liza, still stuffing her face, "that's right, stupid!". All three of them can't help but turn to Liza in shock, stupid? Liza is completely oblivious to their stares, her attention more on her food than anything else, so Elza just continues on, "...thank you for being considerate. I'm sure one day that the time will come when I have to tell you, but for now, can we discuss something else?", it's not something I want to talk about unless necessary. Maybe if my future child wants to know about their grandparents, but that's about it.

Lorilay is just puzzled by Liza once again, that's really not how our bodies work...is she sick? That's about the only thing that could cause this. Maybe I should take her to a doctor? I'll talk to her later. Ren starts to take a sip of water, "of course we can talk about something else". Elza, "thanks. On that note, I've been thinking about this since yesterday. Can we establish some rules when it comes to sex?". Ren spit takes at the sudden change of subject, coughing out the water that went down his lungs. He wipes his mouth as he tries to stop himself from coughing, "sorry *cough*, I just wasn't *cough* expecting something like that so suddenly".

Elza continues on like it's not a big deal as she hands him a napkin, "yesterday , Liza and Lorilay told me some stuff which made me think that they aren't really in tune with what I want to do in the bedroom. If we had a three-some or larger, it'd just be a mess of changing from one style to another while we're trying to go at it, which wouldn't be fair to anyone. It would also put a far bigger burden on your shoulders, so I'd like to make some ground rules".

Ren, not feeling very comfortable with the subject, "well...I can see where you're coming from", I never thought this would turn into such an out in the open discussion though...not that it shouldn't be. I just...never thought I'd be having this type of discussion in the first place. Lorilay fidgets a little, "well...what do you have in mind?".

Elza, "there are two things I thought of. 1; we don't interfere with each others sex lives. 2; you can have group encounters with the others if you so wish, but then those in the group have a say when it comes to the sex in question. No woman is ignored or their opinion disregarded...unless specifically agreed upon beforehand if that's what they're into. This way, it means we can have sex as we like. I'd like to have some group experiences with someone who has similar interests to me at least a couple of times. What do you girls think?".

Ren can't help but feel super awkward as he listens, she's throwing out group...experiences like it's nothing! I can't help but feel off about it...and it's amazing how she can say it without batting an eye. Liza, who actually stopped eating when Elza brought up sex, "that's fine with me. I thought you would suggest something more restrictive, but this is good, we can all feel comfortable doing what we like". As soon as she finishes saying that, see starts moderately chewing on a big salad leaf.

Elza senses that Lorilay doesn't look like she has any objections either from the way their eyes meet, "then it's settled. These are our rules from now on". Liza, having chewed her leaf before putting another in her mouth, "before you two came along, Ren said that he leaves all these matters to me, which collectively extends to the rest of the harem. So there's no problems", as she gives them a thumbs-up.

Ren feels his chest tighten a bit in response to the gravity of his words, d-did I give them power over something I shouldn't have? But...I really don't know how things should be done. I feel like leaving it to them is the best thing to do. Elza, "good insight, Ren. We can actually talk things out among the harem instead of letting it be one person's decision. That should reduce a lot of conflict". Ren is pulled out of his thoughts, "oh...thanks",...but what about my opinion? I know I said I'd leave it to you, but shouldn't you...at least ask me anyway? It feels really awkward for me to bring it up myself now!

Lorilay, blissfully ignorant of Ren's troubles, "with that settled, I'd like to discuss what we are going to do next". Elza, as she signals one of her maids to bring a something, "good point, I'd like to know as well. Let's eat while we wait for a map so we can discuss in detail".

They do exactly that until Elza let's out a stifled laugh, earning everyone's attention "pfft...hahaha". This, of course, gets everyone's attention. Lorilay, "what's so funny?". Elza, "I was just thinking about how Ren's weapon will be made of the same thing that dildos are made of and...hahaha...I imagined him with a bow and the...hahaha...tip of the arrow is a dildo...HAHAHA. He sneaks up behind a Lorilay, who's lying down, scouting, and just shoots it in her with a completely serious face, causing her to go completely wide eyed and scream in surprise".

Elza bursts out laughing further, slapping the table, followed by Liza covering her mouth, suppressing her laughter. Even the maids on stand-by stifle their laughter. Ren, however, just feels awkward. Lorilay understandably pouts, "why me?". Elza wipes a tear from her eye, "because you like to wear short skirts". Liza piles on, "imagine he's up against the Demon King, a completely serious fight to the death...and he just pulls out the bow to shoot a dildo at him. He might so shocked that he has a heart attack!". They all burst out laughing before Lorilay adds even more fuel to the fire, "and in close quarters, he drops the bow to pull out a dildo sword".

They all laugh historically, Elza smacking the table even more. The maids are struggling to maintain their air of professionalism. Liza manages to interject between her laughs, "then...shocking all...the Demon King...whips out his own dildo sword!". This pushes all the women in the room over the edge, their laughter uncontrollable from imagining Ren and the Demon King having a dildo sword showdown to the death.

Ren feels a little disillusioned with what he's witnessed, what is this? Is this seriously stuff girls think about? I feel like my perception of women has completely shattered at this point. I mean, I probably didn't have an accurate mental image of them in the beginning, but I wasn't expecting this. Only the crudest of guys would talk about this type of stuff...right? Me and my friends never went this far, or even into details of the encounters they had with their girlfriends. Just it happened, we gave him a congrats, and we moved on. That was it. They all mostly calm down by the time the map is brought out, so it's finally time to start the strategy meeting.
