With another titanic impact, their blades met once more, the collision releasing a shrill screech that tore through the air itself. Space seemed to fold as they stood locked at a single point, unmoving, the earth beneath their feet trembling violently under the sheer pressure, tension, and intensity of their opposing forces. Cracks spider-webbed across the ground, spreading outward as if the world itself were struggling to endure their presence. Yet neither of them moved.
They remained frozen for a brief moment, as though acknowledging one another, as though recognising an equal standing before them. Then, in a blur that defied perception, they blitzed out of their position, their bodies tearing through the air like living streaks of destruction.
