The lights inside the resting cabin had gone out at some point, and the blackout curtains blocked out much of the daylight.
In the shadows, Pei Zhen's eyes were dark. The hand holding his cigarette rested casually on the edge of the sofa. A spark glowed at its tip. A smirk touched his lips as he tossed the cigarette onto the rim of the ashtray.
He rose and walked over to the bed, bending down. His profile subtly pressed against her face as he affectionately nuzzled her, his ethereal voice warm by her ear,
"You really take me for a good person, don't you?"
Silence persisted for a long moment.
Xu Si gently nodded as if in agreement, slowly closing her eyes. Her slender, fragile arm lay by her side, her crimson lips hidden in the softness of the covers.
Pei Zhen smiled, his silver hair falling onto her butterfly clavicles. "Sleep. I know you're tired."
