The moment they arrived at the dining room, William was already there, sitting at the head of the table and waiting for the food to be brought in.
He saw them approaching him and was impressed by his grandson's new look.
"Hmm, not bad. You don't look anything like the usual scared little rabbit who shivers whenever he speaks to girls." William remarked as he observed Oliver before nodding in satisfaction.
However, the moment he spoke, Oliver couldn't help but retort.
"Please, Grandfather, I'm not that afraid of talking to girls anymore. You don't need to mention the past."
Upon hearing his response, William scoffed mockingly.
"So what? Do you think just a simple change of looks will allow you to survive in the rich people's society? Ha! I bet you'd get eaten alive by sharks without the help of your mother and me."
Before Oliver could respond to William's remarks, Mia gave the old man a disapproving stare.
"Father, if you keep on acting like this, don't blame me if I end up punching you in the face."
William glanced at his daughter as he heard her cold words before shaking his head dismissively. "Whatever. Let's just sit down and eat, or do you want to keep on wasting time bickering with me?"
Mia ignored the old man as she led Oliver to sit beside her while Adam sat on the other side and Elle stood behind them quietly, waiting for them to finish their lunch.
Oliver looked at her standing there, waiting for the order, before calling out.
"Miss Elle, don't just stand there. You should eat along with us too."
Hearing Oliver's words, William looked at his grandson incredulously and was about to reprimand him for his actions, but Mia gave him a stern gaze to stop him from saying anything.
Elle looked at Oliver for a moment uncertainly, as she knew that her position didn't allow her to eat along with her masters, but when she saw that William didn't say anything, she nodded her head. "Thank you, sir."
Then she sat beside Adam and waited patiently for the food to arrive.
They didn't have to wait long before several maids pushed several carts containing many mouth-watering dishes into the room.
They took off all the silver covers to reveal different kinds of gourmet meals, including fresh seafood, meat dishes, rice plates, soups, salads, and many more.
The delicious fragrance filled the room, and the moment the maids brought each plate over, their appetite increased even more.
"Now, let's begin eating." William declared as he took the spoon and fork and was about to enjoy the first bite of his food before someone entered the dining room, causing him to stop his movement.
The person who appeared in the room was a tall, beautiful woman with long, flowing black hair that flowed down like a waterfall.
Her deep blue eyes were sharp and clear, like two shining crystals that sparkled brilliantly.
Her skin was smooth and flawless, and she exuded an aura of coldness that sent shivers down anyone's spine.
She was wearing a black high-collar silk dress that reached down to her knees, which had a tight body-fit design with small slits on both sides that revealed her supple and smooth white thighs.
Her full breasts were perfectly outlined against the dress, showing off their natural shape and roundness, and the deep cleavage was like a hidden trap set for men, causing anyone to have dirty thoughts.
The shape of her slim waist and wide hips added even more to her already stunning figure. It was as if she were an artist's sculpture that was carved to perfection.
The only accessories she wore were a pair of elegant silver earrings that perfectly complemented her pale skin, but she didn't need anything else to make herself look attractive because her natural beauty was already enough to capture people's attention.
Looking at this beautiful woman entering the dining room, Oliver felt like he was looking at an ice queen, as he couldn't even sense the slightest emotion on her face.
Yet, that wasn't the most surprising thing.
To his shock, Oliver noticed that this woman was almost similar to his own mother in terms of appearance and even age. The only difference was that Mia had a more mature air about her, and she exuded a soft aura compared to the ice-cold one of this beautiful woman.
And the same was true for Adam, who was now looking at her and his wife back and forth as if he was seeing the most incredible sight in this world.
He couldn't believe his eyes, seeing such a strong resemblance between the two.
Mia took a deep breath as she looked at the woman who just came in before speaking with a smile. "It's been a long time since I last saw you, my dear sister Anna. How have you been all these years?"
'Sister? This woman is my aunt?! Does that mean they are twins!?'
The moment he heard Mia's words, Oliver understood why the woman's face and features looked so familiar.
Oliver thought that his Aunt Anna would say something in response to Mia's greeting, but all she did was narrow her eyes as she scrutinized everyone at the dining table and then ignored them before turning her cold gaze towards the old man and saying in a frigid tone.
"Father, I heard you called for me? What is it?"
William didn't answer her right away, but instead, he gestured for her to sit down on the empty chair next to him, which she complied with and took a seat.
After seeing his daughter settled down, William began eating his lunch without saying anything more, and the others followed suit.
Anna, who had sat silently next to him, glared at his actions before giving a snort and starting to eat her meal along with them.
This was the first meal that Oliver was sharing with his mother's sister and his grandfather. However, the atmosphere around them was too awkward and uncomfortable, and no one even tried to say something to break this silence.
It was as if they were complete strangers rather than family members sitting together.
This was something that Oliver wasn't used to seeing, as he would always enjoy spending time with his family every day, chatting and laughing at something funny.
Even though he was eating delicious food right now, he didn't feel satisfied. Rather, a strange sense of irritation and discomfort was stirring in him because of the silence.
With his mood turning sour, Oliver quickly finished his lunch and wiped his mouth clean with the white cloth napkin before placing it back on the table.
The others also finished eating their meals and were sipping some drinks while waiting for William to make his next move.
