Yumiko was walking- No, running towards the Hokage tower. This morning an ANBU showed up at her doorway informing her that a team of Genin had requested her to be their team-leader for a mission. Specificly her
Smirking, Yumiko thought 'Its only been a day since I meet them, yet they already want me to be their teamleader again.
It seems like my interaction with the main characters is doing just good'.
After reaching, Yumiko didn't hesitate to smile widely and open the room door after receiving Hiruzen permission.
Looking at team seven-
'Wait a DAMN minute'
Blinking, so she could make sure of what she is seeing right now. Yumiko's smile dropped at the sight ahead of her. What was ahead of her isn't team seven- No, it was Kabuto and his team and they were all staring at her
'What's that supposed to mean??' Looking at the Hokage, she held a questioning stare
The said man only cleared his throat before smiling kindly "Hello Yumiko, I hope you are doing well?"
Blinking stupidly again, Yumiko remembered her lack of greeting "oh I apologize Hokage-sama. Also, I am doing just great Hokage-sama. I hope you are doing- eh great?" She said while doing a short awkward bow.
She only received a chuckle from the man, before he spoke again, this time more serious
"You've been requested by Kabuto to be the team-leader of this mission. He really admire your talent as a medical-nin." He said while glancing at the said boy.
Kabuto on the other hand only looked at her while scratching his neck. A tint of pink graced his cheeks.
"I suppose, it would be a good training since your goal is to be a Jōnin.
This mission is a C-rank, You will be escorting a Daimyo daughter to the sand village"
If Yumiko didn't learn how to maintain her face expressions, she would probably be looking at him terrified
'OUTSIDE THE FUCKING VILLAGE??? MY GOD AM GONNA DIE'
With a sigh, she tried to compose herself by Throwing those thoughts outside the window of her mind and instead, she tried to find a stupid, believable lie. Too bad she found none
"Fine" She said half heartedly while faking a smile, as if on cue, A girl accompanied by what seemes like her personal guard entered the room.
'So, it wouldn't really mattered if I refused the mission cuz it was already decided...' Frowning, she glanced back at Kabuto's teammates
'They are spies of Orochimaru... It's impossible to believe that he invited me without ulterior motive. Just my rotten luck'
Why does trouble seem to come to her nowadays?
"Are those the team assigned to me Hokage?" The girl, who appeared to be a teenager asked with a hint of boredom
Hiruzen nodded in confirmation "Yes, they will be guarding you until you reach the sand village. Stay assured, these kids are quite talented"
Even though her mental crisis, Yumiko's mind still wandered back to the sand siblings, she remember them quite good since they had a big role in the chunin arc and shippuden.
'Well, the sand village is too big so I doubt I will be meeting them by chance, unless...'

"I hope you don't mind being our team-leader Yumiko-chan" Kabuto said looking at her half-guilty. They were both jumping on trees while the princess's carriage and their other two team members remained down there "I was really worried after seeing your face change when seeing us"
"It was nothing" Yumiko said without looking at him and with her eyebrows furrowed.
Kabuto teammates were anything but pleased after seeing a kid leading their team. Nonetheless, they both introduced themselves and remained silent most of the time. key word; most.
Their trip to the sand village didn't get interrupted, and the delivery went smoothly.
For Yumiko, what supposed to be a mission for two days felt like a decade to her. Kabuto kept bugginig her with conversations, trying to get any bit of information about her.
She had to be cautious and shallow with her answers, much to his chagrin.
"I will go to the Kazekage tower, you three stay here I will be back as soon as I drop the princess and her guard" Yumiko said casually before leading the way to what seemed like the kage tower
While walking, she ponder 'Will I meet Rasa? If my memory serve me right he attempted to kill his son-Gaara many times. I should probably be careful of him.
Then again, its not like I am not careful with everyone else here' She sighed tiredly remembering her wary behavior towards everyone, everyday. Its burdensome to say the least.
Thankfully, she ended up not meeting him and only had to deal with the ninja responsible for the missions. She bid goodbye to the daughter of the daimyo and her guard and went back to were Kabuto and his team were.
Yumiko saw them talking, but as soon as they spotted her coming their way they all stopped talking for some reason.. weird huh?
"Lets go back to the village now, I got the confirmation of the mission success" She showed them the seal and started walking ahead
"No" One of them said, it was Yoroi. "We should stay here to rest. We can't run for another two days. Our stamina isn't as monstrous as yours" Yoroi Grumbled, not looking at her
"Oh..." Yumiko was surprised to say the least. 'What are they planning?' If She had any suspicion, she made sure to not show it on her face, like usual, keeping a neutral expression.
"Fine" She sighed tiredly for what seemed like the hundredth time.
They picked a nearby Inn and settled. It was the afternoon, so they had the time look around.
Yumiko decided it was a good chance to discover the village, and she went out to chill and try some new food, hopefully it is not poisoned.
After spending all her afternoon out there, walking aimlessly, she decided to go back to the inn. To her disappointment, she spotted none of the sand Siblings.
Stepping to her chamber, Yumiko suddenly had a gut feeling. A bad one
Bits her lips she thought; 'It wouldn't be wise of me to sleep in a foreign village, I could be killed while sleeping or worst, poisoned'
She did not sleep that night. And just as she thought, Yumiko did get attacked in the middle of the night. What surprised her more was her attacker.
'I am in deep shit' She thought while dodging sand that crept to her feet to hold her still.
'I should've closed That fucking window!
I just had to leave it open didn't I?' She scowled at her own stupidity. Sighting she tried to compose herself.
Unleashing her Gunbai. Yumiko took a fighting stance while looking at her attacker, Gaara.
