The following day, Jessica sat in front of the dressing mirror with her ear bud plugged in her ears, listening to music on her phone as the hairstylist styled her hair.
She watched as the stylist twisted her hair into soft curls and pinned them with tiny white pearls.
She'd woken up feeling very excited. She'd thought she'd be scared or nervous, but all she felt was excitement for what lay ahead.
Delilah had gone down to the event hall to ensure that everything was in place and as it should be.
She smiled when her phone vibrated on her lap and she picked it up to see it was Damon.
She received the call immediately, and Damon's calm voice came through gently, wrapping around her like a blanket.
"Good morning, almost Mrs Williams," Damon said, his voice low, warm, and just a little husky from sleep. "How are you feeling? Did you sleep well?"
