"Hold on!"
Zhang Xiaowei's eyebrows furrowed as he directly blocked her path.
"Lady, casually slandering someone as a con artist isn't very nice," he said.
The beauty scoffed coldly, looking at them with disdain, "Don't think I can't tell, you three are in cahoots, clearly putting on a show here to swindle me."
Hearing this, Zhang Xiaowei felt really put out.
He had kindly exposed the scammer simply out of fear that she would be deceived.
And now, he ended up looking like an accomplice to the con artist himself.
Zhang Xiaowei cared about his reputation; he couldn't just accept such unwarranted criticism.
"I don't know him, please don't lump me together with that kind of person," he protested.
The beauty, seeing Zhang Xiaowei still denying it, confronted him on the spot, "I've already seen through your act, so why keep up the pretense? Do you really need me to call the police before you admit it?"
At this, Zhang Xiaowei couldn't help but laugh.
