Nan Mufeng opened the fridge and took out some fruit. He washed what needed washing, peeled what needed peeling, and soon, a stunning fruit platter appeared on the coffee table.
Jian Xi was impressed by his "domestic skills." Yet, she was annoyed that he kept hanging around her house.
"I'm going to the office now, I'll be back after work. I'll leave Little Pumpkin with you."
Just as Jian Xi was contemplating how to get this father-son pair out of her house, Nan Mufeng left on his own.
Before heading out, he turned and smiled, "This outfit suits you well!" Then he looked her up and down and added, "It should fit well from inside out."

Jian Xi's face instantly turned red. She was about to lash out, but he had already shut the door and left.
Jian Xi was steaming with anger, with nowhere to vent.
Or perhaps, it was embarrassment with no hole to escape into. Plus, she somehow had turned into a babysitter.
"Mommy, I want to watch cartoons," Little Pumpkin said.
