Walking around the construction site, Nan Mufeng and Jian Xi were both very satisfied with the progress of their new home. At this rate, it would be finished by July, and with some renovations, they could move into their new home by the end of the year to celebrate the Spring Festival.
By then, their child would be nearly half a year old.
"Honey, since I couldn't reach you later, I made decisions about the house on my own," Jian Xi said softly, holding Nan Mufeng's arm.
"Thank you for your hard work. You did a great job!" Nan Mufeng hugged her.
These were matters he should have handled.
"Are you tired? How about taking a break?" Nan Mufeng asked considerately.
"Sure!"
Jian Xi was indeed tired. She considered herself strong, not a typical dainty woman. Back in Chana State, she was quite vigorous. But now, back in her hometown, she found herself feeling weak, tiring quickly after just a couple of rounds on the construction site.
"Young Master Nan, there's an office over here."
