Maybe sensing that Zhao Pan and Han Qidong, the two elders, were feeling uneasy, Wei Zhengze furrowed his brows lightly.
He glanced at the two suspiciously, then asked with a hint of confusion, "You two seem to have a different opinion?"
Hearing Wei Zhengze's words, Zhao Pan and Han Qidong exchanged glances again. After confirming each other's thoughts, Zhao Pan looked at Wei Zhengze and spoke with heartfelt conviction,
"Elder Wei… what you're suggesting is surrenderism—it's unacceptable."
"We established the shelter not only to preserve humanity's spark of civilization, but also to protect our people."
"If we surrender to every High Order Catastrophist, surrender to every invading army, then what's the point of creating this shelter?"
"If we surrender to invading enemies today, tomorrow we'll surrender to anti-government militants, and the day after, we'll surrender to an Evil God."
