All Cataclysmic beings follow one principle: they like places where Cataclysmic Power is dense, and dislike places where Cataclysmic Power is thin.
The reason is simple.
No matter if they're walking, sitting, lying down, breathing, or even just maintaining the most basic life activities, Cataclysmic beings need to consume Cataclysmic Power.
And the stronger one is, the more Cataclysmic Power is consumed to maintain basic life activities. This is called "basal metabolism."
So, if the density of Cataclysmic Power around one's body is enough to maintain "basal metabolism," then there's no need to consume one's own internal Cataclysmic Power.
On the other hand, if the surrounding Cataclysmic Power isn't enough to keep up with "basal metabolism," then one's own internal Cataclysmic Power must be used up.
If, due to battle, internal Cataclysmic Power keeps being depleted and can't be replenished, then a Cataclysmic being's body will likely get drained.
