"Yes."
"By the way, Speaker Qiu also got some new intel out of his interrogation. Come by my place for a meeting in a bit—I'll call in Old Ye and Old Dai as well."
"Alright, we'll talk when we meet."
Slamming the receiver down onto the desk phone, Huang Shangzong said with apparent nonchalance, "Don't let Chairman Liu's carefree act fool you—he might seem rough, but there's detail in his roughness."
"Look at that call. Not too soon, not too late—he timed it to come in right after you started reporting to me."
"He's both making sure I get the intel first, and letting you know he hasn't sold you out."
Hearing Huang Shangzong's probing, Qiu Tu smiled and said, "Deputy Chairman Liu did climb up from the very bottom. Careful thinking is just in his nature."
After a quick comment, Qiu Tu stood up and said, "Well then, Chairman, I'll leave you to it."
"If anything comes up, come to me."
Hearing Qiu Tu's remark, Huang Shangzong responded with a deep "Mhm."
