Sometimes, a person's likes and dislikes do have reasons. Sometimes, they don't.
At first, Huang Shangzong disliked Qiu Tu because Qiu Tu had caused the death of his future son-in-law, leaving his own daughter in constant sorrow.
Then, Qiu Tu schemed again and got his advisor killed.
After that, one of his trusted aides came to investigate Qiu Tu, only to get slapped in the face the whole way through.
By this point, though the conflict between Huang Shangzong and Qiu Tu hadn't reached the level of mortal enemies, Huang Shangzong's impression of Qiu Tu had already hit rock bottom.
So, afterwards, no matter what Qiu Tu did—even if it had nothing to do with Huang Shangzong, or might even benefit him—Huang Shangzong would always find Qiu Tu obnoxious.
