"Hey! You—Cain!"
Tony Stark flew through a swarm of bat-like creatures and landed beside Cain.
"What is it?"
Cain turned to face him calmly, completely ignoring the monster trying to sneak up from behind.
"Do you know how to shut down the Blood Pool?"
Tony asked directly.
"Unfortunately, I don't. Back then, even the Foundation could only suppress it through brute force."
Cain shrugged helplessly.
"So it's endless, huh…"
Tony sounded a little discouraged.
At that moment, a massive creature approached from behind Tony, ready to strike—when its body suddenly froze, then began to compress, squeezing blood from its pores before collapsing to the ground, dead.
Startled by the sudden commotion, Tony turned around quickly.
"You should stay alert at all times."
Natasha walked over calmly. Using her enhanced brain abilities, she crushed nearby monsters with psychic force and summoned a swarm of shadow ninjas to slaughter anything they could handle.
When it came to monsters dozens of meters tall, the shadow ninjas simply swarmed them in overwhelming numbers. They couldn't be killed, no matter how many times they were defeated, and their numbers were practically infinite.
They were clearly the perfect choice for handling a horde of monsters like this.
"…Thanks."
Tony muttered his thanks reluctantly.
"There's a monster over 300 meters tall coming out of the Blood Pool!"
Rhodey shouted, pointing toward the pool.
Sure enough, several grotesque beasts ranging from 300 to 500 meters tall began crawling out.
They resembled oversized versions of predators like tigers, crocodiles, and bears—but much uglier, with rotting flesh covering their bodies.
There were even fusion monsters with lion faces, gorilla bodies, and crocodile limbs.
Some were even stitched together from plants and insects—vine-like tentacles, centipede bodies, spider legs—it was pure nightmare fuel.
"Haah…"
Roger, who was closest to the Blood Pool, saw the monsters appear. Without hesitation, he crouched low, charged energy into his legs, and launched himself at a crocodile-like creature with a full-powered Rider Kick!
His explosive kick landed on the monster's head with devastating force, creating a huge crater in its skull. But it wasn't a fatal blow.
Infuriated, the beast swung a massive claw and sent Roger flying!
BOOM!!!
He crashed into the ground hard enough to create a crater, and blood seeped from the cracks in his BLACK Rider suit.
"Ugh…!"
Roger groaned in pain, unable to stand immediately from the force of the impact.
The towering 300-meter crocodile monster, enraged by the damage to its head, charged at Roger in a fury.
With each step, it trampled countless smaller monsters, causing the earth to quake.
Seeing it rushing at him, Roger struggled to stand despite the pain—but it was too late. The monster had already raised its claw to strike—
Then Strange arrived, raising the Apocalypse Staff.
"Thirty percent power!"
He unleashed 30% of the staff's power. The star-shaped tip flared with blinding violet light. When it struck the beast, the impact was so massive it cleaved the 300-meter monster clean in two!
"You alright?"
Strange tried to play it cool and check on Roger, but the staff was too heavy. He lost his balance and dropped to one knee—luckily Roger caught him in time.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?"
Roger replied.
"I'm fine. The staff's just… heavy."
Strange grunted, then hoisted it again to blast away several approaching monsters.
"Be careful. There are still more of those giant ones."
Roger turned toward the Blood Pool—but the huge monsters had disappeared.
Logically, creatures of that size should be visible from anywhere. Yet Roger couldn't see them at all.
Just then, another 500-meter beast emerged from the Blood Pool—this one resembled a hedgehog, but most of its skin and back were covered in metal.
In the very next second, it vanished.
"Where did it go?!"
Strange shouted in confusion.
"It turned into a rat!"
The others couldn't see, but Roger's BLACK-enhanced vision let him see clearly even hundreds of meters away.
He had witnessed the 500-meter monster suddenly shrink into a mouse.
The only one capable of doing that… was Hill's reality-warping cat.
"I'm counting on you, Little Black! Turn them all into mice!"
Hill held up the cat toward the Blood Pool. That was all she could do—order the cat to deal with the monsters.
"You really have some nerve, asking one little kitty to take on all these beasts… But hey, you're my master now."
The reality-warping cat grumbled.
Still, it activated its powers again, turning another 100-meter monster into a mouse.
"Sorry, Cain. I'm counting on you to protect me."
Hill glanced over her shoulder at Cain, a little embarrassed.
"It's fine. Isn't protecting ladies what gentlemen do?"
Cain shrugged casually.
Hill wasn't a frontline combatant—despite having the cat, she was still at serious risk. That's why Cain stayed close, using his reflective ability to shield her.
"Multiple monsters are heading toward the city!"
Nick Fury's voice came through the comms.
Even though everyone was fighting their hardest, the sheer number of monsters meant some were slipping through, bypassing the heroes and advancing on the city.
"What's the evacuation status?!"
Roger quickly asked over the comm.
"There's no way we could evacuate that many people in such a short time!"
"What about reinforcements?!"
"The military can't get here in time, and the council is still deciding whether or not to launch a long-range strike."
"Fuck! Nick Fury, what the hell are you even doing?!"
Tony couldn't help but curse.
"Hey, you try dealing with those idiot politicians!"
Fury snapped back. He was just as frustrated, watching helplessly as the monster horde moved closer to the city. If they reached it… the casualties would be catastrophic.
ZHWOOOOM!
Just then, a beam of light shot down from the sky, slamming into the monster swarm and annihilating them instantly.
