Two people are currently standing outside the fences of an old abandoned factory. Jaiven, age twenty-two, dreads black hair, middleweight class, wearing glasses, green shirt, green windbreaker jacket, black cargo pants, and black and white converses. Zay, age twenty-two, low cut black hair, heavyweight class, wearing a mostly red shirt with black detailing, dark red sweatpants, and black shoes.
Zay- Where did this fool just send us?
Jaiven- Are you sure this the right place? Call Jalaan.
Toby- YIIRRR!
The two looks through the fence to see Toby walking through the tall grass. Jalaan and Tre appear shortly after.
Zay- Looks like the whole gang's here.
Jalaan- Yessir and this is the spot...welcome to wonderland.
After showing Jaiven and Zay around the area, the group sat down on the roof of the castle building.
Jaiven- Not gone lie if I had a showdown ability I would rob a store or two.
Toby- WTF, why would you do that?
Jaiven- Come on now you know you would do it if you could.
Toby- I do have a showdown ability and I DEFINITELY WOULDN'T DO IT!
Zay- Can't blame the guy for thinking that though. I'm sure back when people was first getting powers they were actually doing it. Crime had to been at it's highest point at the time.
Toby- Yeah, until the purgatory event.
During the year of twenty-sixteen people started gaining their showdown abilities. However shortly after, people possessing firearms would instantly die after firing one bullet. People noticed this was happening but could never figure out the reason. The incidents continued the whole year of twenty-sixteen until the winter of twenty-seventeen. After that it was agreed by the people to ban all firearms. As time pass people started to title that period of time...THE PURGATORY EVENT.
Jalaan- Majority of the population(three fourths)was wiped out during the event.
Toby- That's because most of the people were criminals, law enforcement(including military), and standard civilians wanting to protect themselves.
Tre- World leaders too, the only people left are the ones who were staying out the way just living. Or people who accepted the fact that they can't use firearms anymore.
Zay- Now we gotta just worry about thugs with superpowers.
Jaiven while laughing- Yeah, but luckily for us duel deals are a thing.
Toby- How did duel deals even start? Showdown duels in general has specific rules, somebody had to create it or something.
Jalaan- I bet Tre would know.
Tre's pupils expanded then went back to normal(Jalaan jinxed him).
Tre- Actually I just remembered a rumor I heard about a month ago.
Everybody in shock- THAT WAS RANDOM ASF!
Tre- We was talking about which came first, duel deals or showdown duels. You would think showdown duels would have to come first in order to make the deals. However based on the rumor shortly after the purgatory event, a man made a duel deal with with random stranger. He taught the stranger how to duel and the loser condition was to spread the knowledge of showdown duels.
The group stares seriously at Tre as they process the information.
Tre- It's just a rumor tho. Honestly I don't know why I just thought of that all of a sudden.
Toby- Yeah that was pretty random.
Jalaan- So guys, how do you feel about wonderland.
Zay- It's cool.
Jaiven- Yeah a bit more intriguing than your average abandoned building.
Tre- I agree, man just wait till Brandon sees this place. I'm sure he'll have some ideas on how to fix this place up.
Jaiven- Brandon... who's that?
Tre- He's my older brother.
Toby while shoving Tre's face to the side- He's pretty strong too. He won the royal rumble tournament we had yesterday.
Jaiven and Zay were shocked to hear that.
Jaiven- You had a showdown duel tournament?
Zay- And you didn't invite us?
Tre- We was there to visit at first. That was something we just decided to do last minute before leaving.
Toby- And it was epic.
Jaiven- Whatever man let's go back to the rumor guy. I'm glad he did what he did. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have any powers.
Zay- Same here.
Jalaan- Duel abilities aren't powers.
Everybody looked at Jalaan in confusion.
Toby- Yes they are.
Jalaan- No they're not. Showdown abilities are powers. Duel abilities are just rules and fighting conditions.
Tre- That gives you powers, which makes it a power itself.
Jalaan- Wha...
Jalaan froze in utter confusion.
Toby while making a cheerful voice- Looks like Jalaan needs a demonstration on duel abilities guys.
Zay rose up casting a large shadow over Jalaan as he looks up in fear.
Zay- I'll fight him.
Jalaan-(Fight...Zay.) Nah I'm not fighting that guy.
Jaiven raises his glasses while smiling.
Jaiven- So does that mean you'll fight me?
Jalaan looks over to see that Jaiven is right next to his face. He jumps back and states that he wasn't fighting neither of them.
Toby- Correct...we had our fights, and now it's y'all's turn. You two will fight each other.
The two were shocked by the news as Toby points at them. Zay begins to smile.
Zay- Fine with me.
Unlike Zay, Jaiven does have some concerns about fighting a heavyweight class due to their strength advantage.
Jaiven- I guess.
Toby while cheerfully smiling and clapping- Well then let us move to a more open space, appropriate for the duel.
ROYAL RUMBLE BONUS MATCH: JAIVEN vs ZAY
Everybody relocates to the open area in between buildings. Jaiven and Zay takes their positions. Jaiven puts his guards up then noticed Zay was just standing there smiling.
Jaiven-(Is he that confident he's gonna win? He doesn't even know my duel ability yet.)
Player one: Zay
Player two: Jaiven
Judge: Toby
Toby- Both players, REVEAL!
Jaiven- My duel ability is hidden blade. All my physical attacks will have a slicing effect.
Zay-(Slicing effect?)
Toby-(That sounds like an annoying ability to go up against.)
Zay- My duel ability is folder. I can defeat my opponent with one hit as long as I land a face shot.
Everyone stares at Zay in shock. Completely surprised about what was said. Zay puts his guards up smiling menacingly.
Tre-(With a duel ability like that...he could even beat Brandon.)
