Mo Yelan was lying on her bed, playing a game on her phone, when her bedroom door suddenly burst open without warning.
A teenage boy stood in the doorway, breathing hard, as if he had just run a marathon.
"It's true," he muttered, staring at Mo Yelan in disbelief. Soon, the expression turned to something closer to resentment.
Mo Yelan, who was greatly annoyed at having someone barge into her room without so much as a knock, did not say anything and stared blankly at the boy.
He was Mo Haotian, who also happened to be her twin brother.
"What are you making all the fuss about?"
Mo Haotian hadn't said a word when he was kicked out of the way. In Mo Haotian's place now stood another boy of similar age, though with features that more closely resembled Mo Shiyu's. He looked at Mo Yelan and ran his eyes all over her before frowning.
Mo Yelan recognized him as her cousin, Mo Haoran.
