Seeing Kaito daily, Himari became even more dreamy. Maybe marriage won't be so bad, maybe he was the one, maybe he really was the man of her dreams, and she'd finally have that person she could be what she truly was, only 53 more nights to go, and she'd finally see his face. Finally, the other nights were rather blurry. One thing she was very aware of was Momo; she had a particular fondness for cats.
She wondered what type of cat Momo was, whether Momo was a male or female, and whether he had kittens in the house, but she couldn't break the rule.
One day, Himari was going through another gruesome training for the brides, as they claimed it to be, she had placed the cup in a rather crude way and the match maker hit her hand again well it was expected she sucked at serving anything really by how clumsy she was so the week made her hands ache and the constant hiting made her question was getting married supposed to be so painful but thinking about kaito made it worth it
So a week later the Osamu family was drowning in debt she did have to work her part time jobs there was no choice in that anyway as much as it sucked she couldn't let her whole family starve even if her dad was working to pay off a the "debt" or what he so called it that's when she over heard her father talking on the phone when she arrived home.
"Oh yeah himari is going through with it guess who i'll have as my son in law Masumotto kaito yes that kaito he's loaded Jun very loaded if he's ready to get my daughter because he need some sort of heir i don't mind i just wish he'd give me a house to with the amount i invested in that worthless girl i deserve more" he said on the phone with his old friend himari was very familair with.
Yes, this should hurt, but it didn't. Why, because she knew her father didn't consider her much, she did love him very much, so yes, she'd shed a few more tears and then go back to normal, what else would be going on right? She quietly went upstairs, crying nonstop, and finally, the time came when Kaito came around to fulfill his challenge of 100 nights. tonight was different. Himari was very saddened by many things; they made it very awful for her to live in a taunting place like this.
That was until Kaito spoke."hey dreamer what's tonight gonna be hmm?" kaito said very normally his voice was soft it felt as if he knew what had happened to her
" i didn't bring momo today but she surely left a trail of fur on my tux oh right i forgot to tell you i am wearing a tux not that it's anything special but i just wanted you to know that i am wearing one wanna know why because i came straight from work sigh life is a bit dull there at least you listen to me don't you"
and so the chat started with him telling her about her tux and office, and other things. She was suddenly very interested forgotten her previous heartbreak as if it never happened, and she liked his soft, deep voice; it lulled her to sleep, making her wonder what he looked like in one.And just like that, many nights passed, and finally, the final night came. Kaito was very serious about this night.
For some reason, he had rushed inside the house and stood outside the shoji screens, seeing her silhouette he had made up his mind he really needed this marriage to work.
"Hey, princess ! Hm, no love, sunshine. What should I call you? You know i took a class in spanish didn't work out, but still ended up learning it. So mi amore, hmm, you know what, how about suzu, yeah, that suits you better." Kaito paused, staring at the screen's silhouette.
Something felt really off, but he continued."i was thinking of you in the office how we'd get things off when were married imaging it gave me gosse bumps in a good way of course i couldn't ask for anything better you in my bed in my arms you know that type of things make my skin tingle oh how i absolutely love to state so many factors and things i wanna try but my favorite are a few don't you think but let's just say i can't say them all don't want you to regret just yet do i for being my bride."
kaito paused sat there quiet for hours staring at the shadow on the screen his mood soured very quickly.
" You know ... i was thinking you'd look great in a shirimono kimono my mother loves traditional weddings i don't really care more of less what types of weddings we have but if you have a suggestion i'd hear it don't want you to miss out on any of the riches do i himari you don't mind me calling you through your first name right why would you i am to be your husband right" kaito stared at the window near by and looked at it for hours to no end up the clock reached 12 that's when he looked back at the screen and continued.
"Damn your good lady who got you to imitate himari?" Kaito smirked. The shadow moved but didn't reply
"Sigh, you really should've played better. I could've fooled myself thinking you're Himari." Kaito stood up and walked towards the sliding doors, and pulled them aside.
"Hah, are you an idiot imitating my bride like that?" Kaito said with a twisted smile.
