Chapter 120 - Part 130

The landscape stretched out before me, an endless void that was neither dark nor light, but a strange amalgamation of both. The air crackled with an energy that hummed in my veins, feeding the hunger inside me. I had taken my first steps into this world, and already, it felt as though it had been waiting for me. The souls that now followed me, their broken forms shuffling in my wake, seemed like mere shadows of what they once were. But they were useful, each one a tool to further my reach, to fuel the grand design I had in mind.

"More," I muttered to myself, the word slipping from my lips as naturally as breathing. "I need more."

The voice that had been my silent companion for so long stirred again, its presence filling the air around me.

"You are starting to understand, Psychobi. You crave more because you have tasted power. But it is never enough. You will always want more. That is the nature of this path."

I felt the truth of the words sink into my chest, deeper than any of the emotions I had ever felt. The hunger had begun as an instinct, but now it had become a driving force. It was not just a need—it was a desire, a compulsion to take, to control, to reshape everything in my image. The broken souls that followed me were only the beginning. There was a greater force waiting to be claimed, a power far beyond what I had even begun to understand.

I turned to the souls behind me, now numbering in the dozens. They moved in perfect synchronization, like a flock of birds following their leader, their eyes vacant but their bodies obedient. They were mine to command, and in that, there was a certain beauty—an elegance in the control I wielded over them.

"Where do we go now?" I asked, my voice steady, yet filled with anticipation.

The answer came almost instantly.

"There are others," the voice said. "Others like you. They have crossed the threshold. They have walked the same path, tasted the same power. You must seek them out. They will be your allies—or your enemies."

I paused, considering the words carefully. The idea of facing others like me was both intriguing and unsettling. I had never truly understood what it meant to share this kind of power. But the thought of having others to help shape this new world was appealing. Perhaps they could be useful, even if they were not entirely trustworthy.

"How do I find them?" I asked, though part of me already knew the answer.

"Follow the signs," the voice instructed. "They will reveal themselves to you. But be wary. Not all will accept you. Not all will submit to your will. Some will try to resist. And those who do, you will have to break."

I felt a flicker of unease at those words. The idea of resistance was something I had not fully considered. I had always taken control, shaped everything around me to my desires. The thought of someone challenging me, someone who could match my power, was... unsettling.

"I will deal with them," I said firmly, trying to suppress the doubt that threatened to rise within me. "If they resist, they will fall."

The voice was silent for a moment, but when it spoke again, there was a hint of approval in its tone.

"Yes. You are learning. That is the way of this world. Power is not given, Psychobi. It is taken. You must take what you want. And you will find that it is a battle—a constant struggle. But in the end, you will be the one standing. You will be the one who shapes the future."

I nodded, a fire lighting in my chest. The hunger, the desire—it all led to this moment. I had crossed a threshold, and there was no turning back. Whatever came next, whatever challenges I had to face, I would face them head-on.

I turned once more to the souls behind me. They were still there, obedient, waiting for their next command. I didn't need to say anything. They would follow me, as they always had. But now, I had more than just followers. I had power—true power. And I intended to wield it like a weapon, cutting down anyone who stood in my way.

"Forward," I commanded, my voice cutting through the air like a blade. "We seek the others. We take what is ours."

The procession moved forward, the souls trailing behind me as we set out into the unknown. The landscape shifted as we moved, the very ground beneath our feet trembling with every step. It was as though the world itself was reacting to our presence, acknowledging the shift that had occurred. And I could feel it—the pull of something greater, something waiting for me at the end of this journey.

It was only a matter of time before I would meet those others, those who had walked this path before me. They were out there, waiting for me, just as I was waiting for them. And when we met, there would be no question of who would come out on top.

The hunger flared inside me, sharper now, like the taste of blood on the tip of my tongue. It was a hunger that could not be satisfied, a need that could never be fulfilled.

But I didn't care. Because I knew now that the hunger itself was the power. And with that power, I would shape this world into my own twisted image.

The others didn't stand a chance.
