Ring! Ring!
Eddie yawns as she stretches her arms. She picks up her ringing phone while rubbing her eyes seeing the time, 8:45 am. She yelps, flinging the phone back on the bed before rushing into the wash room. On finishing her business she professionally pits herself in place before heading out with a dash outside her room.
"Uhm Trish, I'm leaving for work tell it to mom and dad"
Trish shouts after Eddie "hold up and take breakfast with you".
"Thanks but i still love my life, bye ". Eddie quickly stops a cab and enters into it.
Inside the cab the tensed Eddie turns on her phone and sees ten missed calls from Jaydin. She looks at her wristwatch reading 9:30 am. The meeting was thirty minutes gone "Oh lord Jaydin is going to have my head".
The cab pulls up in front of the Lee's company. Eddie quickly steps out of the car paying the taxi driver.
She enters into the company hearing the receptionist "Good morning Miss Eddie ". Clara Jones wished.
"Morning miss Clara " Eddie replies while waiting for the lift to the meeting room.
Inside the meeting room a pin drop silence could be heard with the utmost quietness.
"Mr. Chen, I'll lile to see to it that you've had a meeting with the Kim's company concerning the building plans?" Jaydin asks as his eyes quietly glance at the door, then at the wall clock 9:50. The meeting is about to end soon. Forty minutes left.
"Yes" Mr. Chen replies with a hint of Chinese accent.
"Well, as you know my personal assistant just revealed to you some designs but...."
The door opens revealing an ethereal beauty. Eddie looks at everyone avoiding contact with Jaydin. She quietly walks to her seat on Jaydin right hand. All eyes glued towards Eddie's face and movement making Jaydin fave twist with anger. He begins to tap a finger on his desk. His gesture alerting Kelvin who knows he does so when his pissed off.
Kelvin clears his throat bringing everybody's attention back yo the matter at hand.
"But....." Jaydin continues "You might as well want to view the designs made by my secretary or if not choose from the ones you've viewed".
Mr Chen looks at Eddie with a gleaming eyes. "There's no harm in trying.
Jaydin glances at Eddie giving her the go ahead to present her designs. The designs were viewed on the projector in the meeting room. Mr Chen picked a few designs and finalised the business deal with a contract.
The meeting comes to an end with a few hand shakes from Jaydin and Mr Chen.
The meeting room begins to get empty with people leaving. Eddie packs up her things when Mr Chen's lawyer, Mr Zhang Junjie approaches her asking for her contact. Handing him her official card she hears Jaydin baritone voice
"Eddie my office now".
