Jess and deva went down the hall way to see lots of empty cubicles with plenty of lights off every now and then they would see a cubicles with a light on and a tired employee typing away at the computer trying to get all their work done when they should have technical have left hours ago it was late into the night the clock slowly ticking on the wall the clock it self showing 11:56pm.
Jess looked over at deva " i can't belive we had stayed so late we out of really noticing I mean I know we was busy with the phone but it shouldn't be like this right"
Deva with slight bags under her eyes "you say that but some of.us really was counting the time but this time your right time flew when it had hit ten. Though we are lucky we can still leave kinda early unlike them" she gestures to the cubicles that are still somewhat lit
Jess scoffs a little " we both know why they are still going at this time some are here for the over time or they were lazy but I don't commend them on the fact they don't seem to be tired but still they should go home o rest we got a big day ahead of us tomorrow with its release at least we was able to get all of it done and work correctly luckly."
Deva gently shook her head she had on thoughts about it but she didn't feel like explaining it it was coding but some of it was also the hardwear,but nothing to bad and because they have worked in that lab they had a lot of spare parts
Jess walked to the elevator and gently pushed the down button with her slender finger the button of the elevator glowed red with a blue outline around it showing that it was indeed pressed.Deva standing next to her waited with Jess talking about a few things more so about the anticipation of the events that should be following with the release of the phone tomorrow.
With a soft ding of the elevator the doors on the right side of the opend to a dark wood panel center with the rest around the elevator a metallic out line the hand rail was jet black gold with a ocean green light out glow behind it.
Deva and Jess both stepped into the elevator already use to seeing every day they both scanned their badge on the level select console and jess reached out with her slender finger and pressed G level button it showed it was pressed with its red glow around the button with that the door slowly closed and the elevator shift started to go down
Deva even though she was used to it she couldn't help but feel weight less at the very start when it began to go down only after a few seconds she got use to the feeling of going down she looked over at Jess and asked.
"Now that the work day is over do you have any love interest yet I'm mean surely you came by someone by now right?"
Jess hum a little and shook her head"No honestly I haven't seen anyone that would be any interest to me i mean look around this office i mean they got money but that's no use to us.so I been looking for those of a good personality or some interesting stuff similar to me.
Deva had a slight blush yeah it would nice to find someone like that but they are hard to come by" she said in response both look down at little not thinking about it to much but they failed to see the different symbols showing and changing of the level of the floor.
With a sudden stop the elevator turned off it being dark inside the elevator made it near impossible to see even with some of the emergency light on the buttons.
Both deva and Jess screamed a little because of how abrupt is was for the elevator to stop the force caused them to fall to the ground
They felt shocked because this was unusual from their normal as they went throughout each of their days even when they heard of the elevator braking down it would only come to become gradually stopped but now it was fast and so abrupt they knew something was truly not right.
Deva after slightly getting up felt around her body to make sure she wasn't hurt any and to feel for her phone to see if she could use it. Her slender finger reached into her front pocket of her skirt and pulled out her phone but she can fell the cracks reaching across the body of the phone mostly the screen even then she tried to power button on the phone and it kinda lit up for it to turn white.
Deva felt frustrated at the fact her phone was broken,Jess seeing the light of the phone made her way up and looked around the elevator she quickly checked her phone right after seeing they where stuck in the elevator.
She reached in her back pocket and got her phone and turned it on luckly it was still working but as she took a closer look at the phone the phone service were all gone the top right of the screen and zero with a line through it indicating they where completely out but that's weird they were not to far from a call tower they where in the middle of the city and it. Deva looked our at her and sigh "my phone is out at best now it can only be used as a flash light"
Jess chuckled lightly because she knew this was a bad situation for them both" Now now thats not completely true it can also still act as my charger"
Deva couldn't help but look at her exasperated at the light joke she had made and shook her head but she knew Jess was right tho it could act as a light and charge other phone by give it power to other phones long as they where touching.
Jess and deva both looked around the elevator even more so to see if they could find anything else that they could use to their best situation.
All they were able to see where the very same things nothing changed on the interior it would be very hard for them both to even open the doors if they were to do so.
Jess look at deva and with a slight frown on her face "Deva i think we are gunna be stuck for a while we are in here unless they can restore the power to the elevator"
Both deva and Jess sat there in the elevator as they waited for maybe for the power to turn back on thinking on do the best thing to do in this situation Jess had turned her phone light off and turned the phone off lucky cause she didn't use her phone that much she still had a lot of battery left in her phone.
She mostly had used her work phone through out the day leading her to leave it on her desk but luckly she did have her home phone on her also with the prospect they where working on today.
Jess sighed and took out the phone they worked on today and turned it on.deva look at it from the side wondering what she was doing.Jess opend the phone and went through the different things that they phone could do and what actions can be done.
Deva just shook her head.
Deva looked at Jess right after " I'm kinda surprised you have the phone with you"
Jess simply nodded "yeah it wasn't planning on taking it home i was gunna drop it off at the front desk to give it to the ceo tomorrow,but while I'm here I figured it still had some life so I just gunna go ahead and just check everything on it" Jess casually opend the camera on the phone and opend the more section of the phone.
Deva smiled cause they knew they did good work and it wouldn't be to bad for them to go and dropped it off.Jess hand looked at the different options it had on the camera it even had night vision type but something she didn't expect was one it had a thermal one.
She slowly poked the thermal one and looks through the camera and looked around the elevator with it just as expected ahe could see deva and her body when she had pointed at them she smiled and wondered if this was made in mine for a specific person like most prototypes they had made it would go to the ceo and he would use it and make suggestions so it wouldn't be bad and also make it a enjoyable experience for their customers.
Deva sat back getting into a more comfortable position and took her shoes off as well and relaxed as best as she could into the side panel of the elevator and jess continued to check a few more features on thephone.
As time went on they slowly got bored but at times would also check Jesse's home phone to see if it had any signal.when they were sitting there they could hear the different sounds in the elevator sometimes they would hear a ding or a the cable just dangling swing back in forth without any tension but justice like it was dangling and some draft would causing it two swing back inforth slowly.
Deva sighed softly and looked down at her phone which was still in her hands an then slowly looked up over at Jess before she could even say anything they're was a sudden shift in the elevator and it could be heared as the elevator breaks screeched as the elevator went down some.
Both startled the did they're best to get up so they could grab the shoes they both had off. After the small break of the events nothing seems to happend further that they even began to think that it was just a slip of the elevator then right before they could sit back down again The elevator just suddenly dropped the breaks screeching as they were sent down the elevator shift at fast speeds they brassed for impact with the ground deva and jess life flashed before their eyes as they knew the once they hit the bottom they would die.
Just as they got close to the ground floor they slowed down but not as harshly . They was unsure as it suddenly stopped unknown to them something was slowing the elevator just enough for the emergency electromagnetic class to grab hold of the elevator just for them to fall to the ground just as harshly as they did the first time this time deva was a little unlucky as she had a slight nose bleed and jess knee was scraped aginst the dark marble tile. While they where on the floor of the elevator the doors slightly opend the elevator control panel dinged with a erriey sound as it the batterys where dying.
The first thing that they could tell was that they were not on the floor they ment to be ot was the ground floor but floor 6. Jess first thought I was just on this floor earlier today what happend she had gone to Jason's office earlier that day now the floor she looked arpund at it was in very bad shape, no it looked like something straight out of a nightmare. The lights where bearly showing a few flickering in and out some where just gone, the desk cubicles weren't very tall but she could tell even they had recived damage.
Papers and a few computer parts where laying on the ground and the first thought that bot deva and jess had in their mind was where are we this couldn't be their offices right? They couldn't belive it cause something like this would have surely been reported or even a alarm or something go off but as they recalled their minds for anything they knew that wasnt the case.
