Chapter 318 Showy Entrance
Aleshia made her way back after storing the leftovers. She assumed that the others had already reported to Daniel and Rebel about their day and the quest they had completed when they went their separate ways. When she rejoined them at the table, they had a brief conversation before she said her goodbyes, and they said their farewells in return. Aleshia began her way to the cursed room to cure the last person inside. Along the way, she reflected on the events of the past few weeks.
Aleshia walked through the corridors without any trouble and eventually entered the room, closing the door behind her. Inside, she found Daniel speaking with Jonah, someone they had previously cured. As Aleshia stepped inside, both Daniel and Jonah turned to face her at the sound of her footsteps.
"Oh, hello, Aleshia and Lucia," Daniel greeted, nodding toward Jonah. "You remember Aleshia; she's the one who has healed you and nearly everyone else here," Daniel explained, noticing that Jonah was struggling to recognize her.
After Daniel explained, a spark of recognition flickered in Jonah's eyes. "Oh, yes, I do remember waking up during some of her attempts to wake the others. They were awake, but it seems they won't be alert for a while," he said as he tried to piece everything together.
Daniel nodded, "That is how Aleshia had explained it to me."
Jonah suddenly realized that Daniel had said something off. He understood that Daniel had mentioned another person was with them. Looking around, Jonah tried to find them, but his confusion deepened when he couldn't spot anyone. As he continued to search, he noticed a familiar hat but decided to dismiss it. Finally, he asked, "Are you mistaken, Daniel? I don't see Lota here; I only see Aleshia."
Daniel realized Jonah's confusion and clarified, "The thing's name is Lucia, not Lota. You must still be groggy; there is no need to think too hard about it."
Jonah looked even more confused at what Daniel said, "What do you mean, 'thing'? Are you telling me that it's not a person and is here in the room with us? Where is it?"
Lucia found the situation amusing and decided to seize the opportunity to show herself. She leaped off Aleshia's head and floated gracefully down, controlling her descent with the wind she conjured. Making a showy entrance, her brim fluttering as she landed.
Lucia's actions captured the attention of everyone in the room. Without missing a beat, Daniel announced, "That is what I was telling you about. It seems to be sentient enough to use magic strategically and assist its witch in double casting."
